The crazy thing is, I kind of wish we had Adrian Martinez back, never thought I would say that but I will feel much better about him that what we currently are getting.
Hard to watch. Makes some incredible plays but when the receiver is 6’5 it’s just easy to pick on him. Love his heart I get it but results should matter
We're in yr 2 with a rookie qb and we just added a huge upgrade at OC, it's way to early to give up.. also development is happening in practice no doubt. Rhule has shown he can KEEP players which is new to nebraska. Hopefully there is very little turnover again this off season
Just watching Dylan in news conference’s and his commenting, doesn’t appear that he has the it factor. Confidence is a big part of playing at this level. Turner Gill, Tommie Frazer had the it factor and big personality. The I’m in charge here attitude.
Malcolm Hartzog came from a extraordinary winning culture. Just look up his highschool in Mississippi and see how many state championships they have and years of winning records. They live and breathe winning. It's just a way of life for them. It's expected. That's why you have a guy of his size with a tremendous winning heart and spirit.
I've moved on. I checked the final score and prepared for volleyball. I have moved on to be 100% a volleyball fan. I follow their stats, I follow the recruiting, I keep up WAY MORE with the volleyball program than I do with football.
The dangerous slippery slope we have been on could really get greasy if we don't get one more win to notch a bowl game. Going 5-7 after being 5-1, watching Colorado suddenly in the hunt for a playoff berth, seeing Indiana go from a nothing burger to a probable playoff team, all could cause what appears to be a solid recruiting class to start dropping off for greener pastures. On the other hand kids might see it as a chance for early playing time so who knows. For me I no longer live and die with wins or losses. I will however always be a fan who loves the Scarlett and Cream. Like many eager fans, my age is making me wonder if I'll see success in my lifetime.
The offense scored 10 points Out of the 20 on the scoreboard 7 pick 6 3 from defense creating turnover in red zone where the offense gained 4 yards before kicking field goal Offense had an 11 play 64 yard drive where they got a field goal and 9 play 75 yard drive where they got a touchdown. Outside of those 2 drives that accumulated 139 yards they managed 171 the entire rest of the game an average of 19 yards per drive
Sit Riola. He needs to watch and gain perspective. He also looks scared. The WRs are talented, but not being coached up. At all. The O line is not talented and also not being coached up. If DH is the OC next year, let him choose the assistants. It's a pretty specific system, and I don't think a patchwork of O coaches from different systems will make it work
I would be okay with this. O-Line coach might be tough to remove but start with changing the WR coach. He's helping DH learn the lingo and I hope that doesn't lend to keeping him around
If I were a 20-21 year old player I’d probably struggle to take my 25 year old position coach seriously- especially if he didn’t have a stellar playing career.
@@willydaily7313 sure, the last 20 years haven't been great. Sure, it has been the same old shit. You were bitching about wanting the season to be over already and that you were likely going to give up your season tickets...? I said see ya. Sooo.... Bye. Give up your tickets so someone that actually wants them can have them. Also, how in the fuck is are you 12 relavant to anything, anyone is talking about on here?
The WRs’ problems have been so obvious for so long now that if they were going to get fixed, they would’ve already. Something’s gotta change there. The coaching or the players. Sure Raiola’s missing some open, but 1) that’s less often than the WRs just not getting open, getting “out-physical-ed”, and running slow & sloppy routes. And 2) he’s a freshman, so he gets a tiny bit of grace for ✌️ more games. Especially when it’s kinda shocking to ever see one of our receivers ever wide open.
Dylans play has gone downhill ever since the second half against Colorado. Not helping the team win. We will see how good Dylan ends up being. Not all 5 stars translate to colly stars. Freshman no longer an excuse 10 games in
They almost ran out of time?? What lol? They did run out of time. It wasn't 4th down on that final play . Rhule let all that time drain off the clock on that final drive and didn't call his second timeout until there was 11 seconds left..and then he never used that final timeout. Almost 3 minutes to work with and rhule goes home with with timeout and ran out of time. Unacceptable..he's the worst I've ever seen with clock management and timeouts. Stop tip toeing around calling him out
My father and brother stopped caring, I am getting there, if we go 5-7 I cannot justify putting anymore care, time or energy into this cur-sed program as the 5 star hope has crumbled and I can't believe Dana Holgorsen is going to have success in the Big 10. You adapt to the Big 10 or you get swallowed by it, a quote by Scott Frost.
I'm with Bo, I'm in this for the long haul. I hope Mich and the "move-on" peeps do move-on. Please move-on and stop following and posting about the program. We don't need you, we don't want you. Bye! #GBR!!!
Way too early to throw the team and Coach Ruhle under the bus. Anyone thinking that a true freshman quarterback was going to go on a straight, upward trajectory doesn’t understand qb development. He's going to be great BECAUSE he's going through the fire right now. I certainly don't intend this as a personal attack on them but until every last Frost player has moved on it won't improve. Their mental blocks are so deep-seated that I truly don't believe that even T.O. and company could rectify them. Just watch the body language. Something negative happens and shoulders start to slump and heads drop. Just watch them Saturday and you'll see what I mean. The single digit players are the worst in this way.
Okay I took Mitch a completely different way. Nebraska fans are always blaming something for why they are not a National contender anymore. Bo wasn't good enough, then Riley, then Scott, then Satterfield. The fanbase is delusional in thinking we should have a Natty tomorrow and doesn't have the patience to build. They forget that Osbourne built Nebraska to what it was, we were 6-4 in his 5 and 6th year with the program before he became OC. So I think that is what Mitch is referring to. We had all the hype of the 5 star. Then we had all the blaming on Satterfield, he gets replaced and issues are still there. Then you hear dumb fans saying to fire Rhule. Mitch to me is saying its time to acknowledge that we cannot fire our way out of this, all the "quick fixes" and hype meant nothing. Its time to accept where the program is this decade, change the mindset or standards for the program (not forever), and if you cannot do that it maybe time for you to move on. And honestly... I agree. I would argue the fans delusional mindset has prevented Nebraska from being able to come out of this. Constant changing of coaches, scaring off potential players with toxicity and players not knowing if they come here how long there coach will last. Since Bo I blame the fans for the state of Nebraska Football.
Apathy will set in if Nebraska goes 5-7. Sellout streak will end, people will stop caring, stop giving their money to the program, and find better things to do on a Saturday afternoon.
Raiola, is in over his head with no commitment to a Big10 run game… way to much shotgun and single back formations! Starting running back should have 20 carries no matter what!!
The eye test tells it all. The QB is turning it over on a AM 2.0 pace. Yes the QB was better at the start of the season because the secondary's were not as talented. A Red shirt year would have been the best case with landing an experienced QB out of the portal to give him time to learn. In addition you have zero home run threats on the O and no bowl game again.
Harberg in the game as an H-back 20 to 30 plays ! If Dylan can play as your only hope as your future so can the non draftable QB/athlete from Nebraska!!!!!!!!!!!!
NU hasent beat Wisconsin in ten years they losing out the rest of the season offens can’t score more then 20 and the highlight of the year was Colorado get ready for the offseason boys GBR

Watching this a week late... and man oh man can't wait for today's podcast!!

Malcolm Hartzog reminded me of Cortney Grixby. Good corner but too short.

He's worn a green jersey in practice since he was 7. It's not his fault he is soft.
Bos love for Nebraska football just got me so hyped up. He actually can’t understand not loving it till he dies GBR
Our offense had 1240 yds rushing this SEASON.
In 1995 our Fullbacks rushed for 875 yds. Fullbacks.
Would we be in a bowl game with FBs?
Our RBs just need to be better. Shouldn't have to resort to FBs for consistent rushing yards
Well our FB is injured

I say start Haarberg against Wisconsin and see what it looks like.
At this point you can only expect the same or better result with HH or even Danny K. at QB.
How many times did I hear how in year two Rhules teams make a big jump?
Sometimes Rhule says too much. Said we are ahead of schedule but I'm having trouble seeing that
I quit watching. I've quit going to games. If the players don't go out and get it who will. Quit given the university money too.
No you haven't
Dylan’s story will look like Adrian’s after 4 years
I’d wager it’ll be a different story if he’s working with Dana Holgerson next year
How do you know
@ it’s called pattern recognition
@ Dana didn’t have a job for a reason
Does talking shit on people you don't know make you feel smart

Braska, the team that turns 5 stars into 1's
Where are our track team wide receivers? Just line up 5 wide and run to the endzone.
Not against this whatsoever. All the talk in the offseason about talent, Rhule said we will murder you downfield… 😅
I believe our recievers are talented but poorly coached.
Sadly I agree
You worded that perfectly, idk if it's just me or not but they don't seem to give great effort either.
If I were a 20-21 year old player I’d probably struggle to take my 25 year old position coach seriously- especially if he didn’t have a stellar playing career.
That's where I'm at.
I have a feeling, without anything other than my eyes, to back it up, that they've tuned McGuire out.
Yea the coach that's the same age as the receivers is not getting it done.
Hardly care anymore. SOS, different year. Can’t wait for season to be over. Season tickets likely not renewed.
See ya!

I noticed right away, he got the running backs involved in the passing game.
All the frustrations with the offense and raiola, nebraskas completion % has improved b6 12.5% over last year

You're on to something. Couldn't lose this many close games if you tried. Maybe they should try to lose a close game and see what happens.
