I wish more influencers would talk about the real tea of what it’s like. Today I’m not holding back and I’m really going in. Love you lots, but that part about you not wanting to promote these random business kinda rubbed me the wrong way. I completely understand it’s your TH-cam channel but why wouldn’t you try your hardest to help out people when you can. I personally don’t think it would be more than a 10 second clip in a video with a link if people care to find out more. In all your vlogs you talk about these large companies very candidly and I think these small business could use that same kind of conversation. I could have taken this part of the conversation the wrong way but just thought I could share.

I can totally see how being an influencer is like a popularity contest but I think the more organic and real you are the more followers/fans you'll attract and I think that's why you're perfect for this and so successful because you've always been so real and yourself! My first time doing vlogmas myself and im definitely relating to everything you’re saying in this! I always have to remind myself: internet world me is NEVER as cool as me irl!!!! cause me irl is the one who sits and edits internet me!!! And internet me will always be past tense in a way too….which is an interesting perspective as well.. irl me will always live it first, which makes her the coolest. It also helps to allow me to look at all socials in a different light that way too. I believe my followers follow me cause they can imagine themselves being my real life friend (to which, is my ultimate goal! Making lots of friends!!!) Anyways, Loved this! Thanks for your insight 💜

My mom died at 26. I’m almost 40. Lauren I would suggest you go to a funeral soon. I know that sounds weird but it’s actually life changing. An Uncle or whomever that will pop up. You will NEVER get this advice but it will help balance the thoughts you have in this video. These things will cease to matter when the reality of death shows up. I know what you felt and once you get out of this social media mindset (doesn’t mean you stop your job) you just have a different perspective! Lots of love.
first of alllll, I was thinking about leaving a comment about you starting a podcast!!!! See, I paint and mainly I use my cellphone to look for references so it's hard to watch the video and keep an eye in the reference at the same time so I was "damn, Lauren really could have a podcast, I would listen to whatever she has to say anyways" lol. Now for the second of allll, that was some TEA about starting a channel from scratch, I did that once, sended to my COLLEGE group chat (I don't know what I was thinking *insert clown emoji*) and it flopped really bad. I mean, I'm not really sad or mad or embarrassed because I know I wouldn't be able to be consistent at the time. To sum it up, it happens... Lauren I can relate with the pressure to constantly have people like you for your job, my whole job is based on if people like the permanent makeup that I tattoo on their face, it can be overwhelming and a lot of pressure lol. I would like to start making videos on TH-cam, mainly because I just want to use my creativity fully while also connecting with like minded people and helping people in some way, but my mind jumps around to a thousand different directions, like do I focus on my permanent makeup career and how I created this successful business, my daily family life as a mom and wife, past trauma, marriage struggles, fashion, home decor, diy beauty, living with lupus and my health journey, becoming and living vegetarian, my workouts, my cat obsession and fostering cats, like I could just go all over the place lmao I feel like you need a niche to get going in this industry but I just want to hit all the angles and basically have a bunch of internet besties and create a whole community. Oh and I also am terrible on camera. You slay, you are so charismatic and comfortable, goals!
