Right? DMV should treat everyone equally. Like you’re a massive inconvenience and they hate you for existing.
Actually, I’ve had cool ppl snap my pic at the DMV and they’d ask if that was cool? I’m a guy, so as long as I want blinking or something stupid, I’d take a quick look and be like “Yep, that’s fine.” When I first did it, it was one and done. But now with digital, they are pretty decent. And it’s a lot faster.
Kim is the poster child of INSANITY MAKING DUMB TALENTLESS PEOPLE FAMOUS.. I blame the MORONS WHO FOLLOW HER. I DONT worship any celebrity not even if they have some talent because every second person can sing and act and those who made it had LUCK.. BECAUSE THERE ARE MILLIONS BEHIND THEM with as much talent who didn’t have the luck.. This trend of INFLUENCERS IS ANOTHER DISTURBING MINEFIELD.. LA residents should file a class action suit against their DMV for discrimination and inconvenience.
If she had them stay after hours for her, someone paid for that overtime. If she made other people wait longer than they should, it's discrimination. Either way, this isn't free and someone other than the taxpayer should foot the bill

I had cancer and had to renew my drivers lic. I was wearing a head scarf and the DMV made me remove my headscarf. So I literally have a bald shiny head in my photo. This makes me so sick that she is allowed to act this way & approve her photo.. when I was not allowed to wear my scarf. This is total insanity!!!! Normal people can’t do this at the DMV

I’ve also witnessed some unattractive people become amazingly beautiful by their thoughts and/or actions. She is definitely what is WRONG with today’s culture. This is nonsense. Nobody is a victim of Kim Kardashian. She and the attention she gets is a symptom of what is wrong, not the cause. Nobody has to give her any attention whatsoever, especially the media, but many choose to - which is messed up. If anybody is responsible for the problem of glorification of beauty, it is the media, and corporate America. There is money to be made, and they exploit people's insecurities, and frankly stupidity. People are shallow, dumb, and easily manipulated, and need to take responsibility for themselves, and who/what they pay attention to, and give money to. Kim is no worse than any other beautiful person or celebrity. Nobody has to treat her like she is special or important, unless she has something to offer beyond her appearance. She is not an evil person, and has supported a lot of charities. She is just self absorbed and vain b/c people have treated her like she is special her whole life. Nobody has to do that, and is on them. If it wasn't her, people would find some other bimbo to give too much attention to. I get that society's values and the importance people place on beauty and celebrities, and the psychological issues that many women have as a result are very destructive, and a real problem. But all of that is not Kim's fault, nor that of any similar celebrity. Look at the entertainment and advertisement industries, and all of the manipulation tactics that come from them as well as our government and other institutions. And how much money people blindly feed to all of that. Kim is a symptom of what is wrong, she is not the cause of it.
To be perfectly honest, she saved my confidence- as a woman with curves, growing up in the 80s and 90s meant HATING everything about oneself. Kim made curves ok and I’m forever grateful for that. Truly

I can’t tell you how many drivers licenses I’ve had where the photo is so bad that all you can do is laugh about it. I could not imagine it being that serious. And….WHY does she get the red carpet and photo session and option to take a second and we don’t? Why didn’t someone say NO, you take your photo to and move on, just like everyone else.
My friend and I went to renew our licenses together. When my friend took her photo, the lady that took it said “oh that’s terrible. Let’s do it again” lol lol I feel like any ID picture is always bad

Years ago a friend of mine went to the DMV to renew her license. The application required that she state her weight. She was a bit overweight, so she stated her weight as a number she could only dream of having. When the DMV clerk looked at the application, she loudly said, “We only let you alter your actual weight by about ten pounds.” Just about everyone in the waiting room heard her.
Get real! If any of us normal hard working people don’t like our drivers license photos we’re stuck with it. To close the whole DMV for her. This world is nuts!

DMV in San Pedro actually let me retake a photo once. I asked nicely, and they obliged. Took maybe an extra twenty seconds.
This makes me sick because I'm always treated terribly by the DMV employees. They are rude, slow bullies. So they took my picture and I knew it was terribe so I asked to see it. They refused to let me see it, let alone retake it! When I received it in the mail, it was as bad as I thought and I'm stuck with it for ten years!

I had to go to the DMV a couple months ago and I felt like a bottle of cheap wine being passed hand-to-hand around a circle of wino's. I got there a little before 10:00 A.M. and by lunchtime I'd only made it half-way through the process and was starving. With leaving for lunch being an impossibility I was forced to endure the gurgles and screeches my disgruntled stomach was using to communicate it's displeasure and a short time later when I found myself standing at a counter going through paperwork I did so with shakey knees and that nauseating empty feeling you get just before you drag down a Cape Buffalo and rip it's throat out. Now, contrast that experience with the experience of Kim Kardashian who was given the Royal Treatment simply because she plays a hussy on television. Not that it's important or should earn me preferential treatment but I'm a Veteran, as are many others waiting in line at the DMV and to think that some plastic floozy get's to pick-and-choose her photo while being attended to by a battalion of publicists and lackeys pisses me off. This nation has lost its mind but even worse it has lost it's morality too: Our President is a decrepit old lecher, our school-teachers have turned into groomers and the masses devote their time, their admiration and their money to the enrichment of a whore...It makes me wonder what the progressives end-game is...

I so agree with you both… that’s why so many people have developed body dysmorphia.
I think body dysmorphia is the "overdiagnostication" or medical glorification of simply not liking what you see in the mirror, which is so normal, worse as social media has made girls believe people really look like dolls. My mom would've said "honey, you're comparing yourself too much, give it a rest". This generation needs everything to be made a syndrome, which, instead of helping, elevates the issue and makes it more permanent. Very few people suffer from actual body dysmorphia.

You can bet an elderly or disabled person wouldn’t get the personal attention and accommodation shown here. Society must stop treating entertainment celebrities and mega-rich corporate leaders as an “elite” group that is more intelligent and entitled to more than working-class citizens. This group are given a public voice-usually with very little truthful information-while those they deem unworthy to belong to their group are silenced. Their greed, lust for power, and self-serving objectives allow them to proceed by any means necessary, without regard to any negative effects on others.

It makes me wonder what it's going to be like for KK when she is in her 60s and she won't be able to control the aging process no matter how many more surgeries she gets. She is headed for misery and we all know "misery loves company". I don't know of any other celebrity who is into their looks so much like KK is into hers. The first mistake was the DMV office going along with this nonsense. lolol. I've seen DMV clerks give people a whole lot of trouble (sometimes justifiably) for waaaaaasy less in terms of general disruption and attitude.

DMV Clerk (should have): Ma'am, you want your license, please step to the photo position. We're going to take one photo, then you are getting your license. Now shut up and assume the position please, we are not a fashion studio and there are people behind you in line.

At the DMV in Neosho, MO there was a sign next to the camera that read, "We guarantee your driver's license photo will look just like you." Pure gold.
She's what's known as a "disruptive customer." In other words, everything comes to a stop when someone like that comes into the office and the chaos just isn't worth it. I can totally see them having her take her photo in an empty office so the normal customers can get through the process without everything stopping for her.

I've been watching a lot of yt the past couple days and all I can say is thank God that I was born in 1970. The weirdness of today's society can get you down if you let it...
For the first time in my life I had a decent photo at the DMV and a month later, I had my wallet stolen containing my driver’s license. They wouldn’t use the same photo taken 25 days earlier so I had to stand in a long line to get another photo. They have no mirrors and the woman couldn’t even tell me that one hank of hair was flipped over to the opposite side of the part while everything else laid normally. Average people don’t even get basic courtesy while someone who shot to fame from a sex tape peddled by her mom is treated like royalty. The values that built this country into greatness has devolved into the state it’s in by the narcissistic attitude of fame and money with no regard for common courtesy and decency.
Though I don’t walk around with stylists, I was asked at DMV if I liked the picture or did I want to take another.
But if I KNEW I could bring in “people,” maybe next time I’ll do just that. Didn’t know it was a thing.

I'll never forget seeing Kim Kardashian on some talk show when she was pregnant with her first daughter. She said something to the effect, "I'm embarrassed to say this, but I 'd rather that my daughter turn out to be pretty rather than smart." Talk about shallow. I've never forgotten that; and now that she's well into middle age, it will be interesting to see how she handles her advancing years.

DMV would not allow the rest of us to retake pictures, much less take stylists to strike a pose and obviously, the DMV was only open to her because there was no other people around, wtf ?
They literally annoy me. If they lost it all tomorrow and had to work and scrape by your license picture would be the very least of your problem! I can’t stand any of them. It’s not jealousy bc it that’s what having money is I don’t want it!
