My Boss is a couple years old and has the hissing noise. I bought a Behringer knock off and it’s twice as quiet and has a nice quiet in colored tone while the boss has a muffled basey tone. I never heard it until I fired up the Behringer next to it. The Behringer EQ700 is around $22.50 at Sweetwater. The build quality isn’t even close but the sound beats the Boss considerably

Cool ! That is interesting to know, i might try and get one too, EQ pedals are always useful
@ for $22.50 you cannot go wrong. Best pedals on my on any board is an EQ. My second favorite is my EVH 5150
Nicely done. I need this. Noisy pedal.
Great video Megahurtz, thank you! But what really caught my ear was the music from Cannon Fodder! Right in the feels...
Ah! Cool! It's nice that you recognized it! :) Good old days...
The best days 🌞 Summer vacation mornings spent playing this and other Amiga games. The best times. Great to meet you, my friend 🍺
Great video Mega! Thanks for the great walkthrough and comparison!
Thanks! Glad you liked it :)
So the question is why Boss didn't use these quieter chips to begin with?
Nice review. Thanks bro 🤘
What year is this particular pedal? They say the newest don't have the noise?
I don't remember exactly, but it must be from around 2013, give or take a year...
Get a Sonicake Tone Group instead.
10 band, +/- 15 db, no hiss -> 50 bucks!
Thanks for the heads-up. A 10 band would be useful indeed
@@megahurtz30 Very good tutorial, btw and good craftmanship!
I bought a user modded one once and the soldering was terrible.
Thanks! :) Yeah, soldering can be a little tricky. One has to have a good soldering iron that reaches proper temperature, to begin with...
Thanks.
