Been enjoying the videos! A thought is to bump up your bullet damage factor to like 2x or even 3x. I always do this so that if they can kill me in a couple shots then I can do the same. Might help cut through the hordes of Monolith if the population doesn't go down. Maybe also bump up the enemy bullet dispersion in the same screen to reduce their chance of hitting you. It'll make the game easier, sure, but I find it to be a little more fun running through battlefields than sitting in scoped shooting galleries.
That's not a bad idea actually. I really don't like the idea of the harder areas being a sit and snipe situation. I just figured this one is pretty screwed up from my population increase
To avoid the Pseudogiant attack, you actually have to be moving upwards, so correct timing is key. Jump slightly before he hits the ground. You can even do it based on the audio cue alone once you get the hang of it.
It's actually not many fanatics, its regular amount of them. Cuz when i raised amount, i got a squad of 13 in the entrance so mr grenade made his thing and i went back to base (they drop my most love gear)
Pseudogiant slams can be avoided. You need to jump at the last possible instant before it slams the ground. The timing is super precise, but is 100% doable.
For brain scorcher you will need more serious weapons and very good armor/artifacts.. That is one of the hardest points in the game before you go north.. Best way is to play it slowly, with high damage weapons..
I remember playing Radar on vanilla Anonaly and being pretty good at fps games even vanilla Anomaly kicked my arse. Very hard area. I haven't gotten this far on GAMMA before, currently doing a UNISG playthrough so I don't even know if it's a thing. All the best brother, love the content. And congrats on Partnership.
Yeah I'm getting the gist that it's a difficult area regardless. My dumbass got cocky with upping the population on my first playthrough lol. Oh well, we'll make it work. Thanks a lot man! Glad to have you here from the beginning, get in the discord!
to avoid the "stomp" of the pseudogiant, you have to jump right when his fist hits the ground, visually it doesnt make sense i suppose but thats how you beat it, took me like 2 years to figure that out lol
That makes more sense though now that you say it, the best I could get was taking nearly no damage. If I waited just a hair longer I think it's the sweet spot I haven't yet found lol
Haven't played with pop settings on my playthrough but as an average player playing on medium I felt a major difficulty spike when I started regularly fighting monolith, regularly get my arse handed to me and feels like im shooting foam darts not bullets against the high ranked ones even with AP ammo 😂
Yeah I feel that. My ass got cocky with the pop setting lol. I do like it, but it also highlights a play style I don't particularly enjoy when fighting humans. I think a happy medium for my case would be high pop with lower bullet damage. But my pc also runs worse so, gonna just stick to default and hope it doesn't stay this brutal haha
@@silence3994does it actually work from your backpack? I bought one, saw that it must be equipped and used similar to a detector and scrapped it for parts
About the pseudogiants attacks: I haven't look it up how exactly their attacks work but atleast I am able to dodge their stomps jumping just when the foot is about to touch the ground. I doesn't always work so I assume is kinda buggy. The Molonithians indeed do a kamikaze if they are not dead just like in the video so finish them off before getting close. And retreating is always an option. In Radar there are a ton of Monolothians even with the population factors to normal. I always do two rounds on that map, the first is to kill and loot everyone before entering the lab and the second I enter the lab. I assume you already notice but there are several boxes across all maps with 400 kg just like in the original games, I think they are there so you can hide your stashes to come back later for your loot (just like the stashes you found looting corpses) or you can bring other stalkers with you to be your mules, basically. Great video as allways!
I forget to utilize other stashes. In the moment I'm just trying to get through it lol. I still haven't left that area yet, when I play later I'll look around save the piles of gear I dropped. Still haven't decided if I'm gonna tough it out or leave.
My dude the brain scorcher is definitely not helped by upping the population factor, I'm seeing roughly twice the number of monoliths as on my own runs.
The number in the Lab is static, i think Just hope that u time it right so they wouldn't respawn when u were disabling the Brain Scorcher. Well, just try to pass through the Red Forest 😂
Yeah I think dungeons are static. I just meant the base itself. You'd think the majority of a force would be IN the base lol with 30 just on the road I shudder to think of the barracks
Yeah sounds about right. I'd guess there were still 6-8 I hadn't yet seen. With the dudes in the towers that'd be about 40 monolith just getting to the scorcher lol
After trying to avoid them and reviewing my footage, it seems like at best a perfect jump dodge just does minimal damage. Seems like you're meant to get hit. Gotta test more
The fact I just got into this game about a month ago and have not left Cordon, Great Swamps, Meadows, Darkscape, and Garbage just shows you I am very terrified of this game! I am having an abolute blast. I was you 651 Sub, nice to see your videos, you have a nack for these types of videos man! Great content and please keep these videos coming dude! I have a quick question for anybody that may know. I have been in these areas so long bandits are not in Cordon anymore, will the game repopulate these areas again or have I completely cleared them for good?
Hey thanks glad you enjoy! Don't worry about playing slow, I did too my first time. It's a life Sim game anyways lol just live in the zone how you see fit. It should repopulate, if you want to try and force it always rest in maximum cycles and zone out of the area
I have mixed feelings about auto turn in task mod. Personally I feel like it takes something away from the overall experience if I'm playing. However, when I'm just watching a video, it doesn't bother me. Most time ppl will cut out that part anyways.
I'm in the same boat. A lot of gamma is the travel time and having those lulls between the extremes. I was just noticing in my footage a lot of it was travel time without anything happening lol. I definitely wouldn't recommend it until you're several hours into a new run though
Brain scorcher is ass id have 1k of ammo50/50 ap and fmj for ur primary and 500 for your smg and like 200 for the shotgun and hella drugs like enough to heal you completely 20 times over grenades and better armor always help and a little bit of save scumming might be needed especially on ur first run love the vids keep it up
Yeaaa thats a bit excessive lol. You can get away with 500 AR ammo 50/50 fmj/ap easily. Esp if you also use a sniper to approach the lab. AP slugs are a game changer (even better if u can get a mag fed shotgun like the Saiga). But u right, better armor, more nades, and more drugs are a necessity.

Loving the series man, also really enjoying the narrative you're making with the intros and stuff. MORE PLEASE :D
Thanks! Working on more now
i'm baked, eating cold pizza at 3 am and clicked on this wanting a bit of gameplay but was pleasantly surprised by your narrative
Thanks! Sounds like a good time
22:42 Ah the ol play dead and kamikaze combo, a Monolith classic.
Lol yeah now I know
Dude I love theese intros with the little stories and with the editing. So unique and pleasant.

Yet another great video.
When it's raining and you are looking at your PDA, turn it towards the sky and there won't get any rain on the display :)
Thanks! That's a fun detail, though tbh I kind of love all the rain effects. As a Californian that enjoys rain, GAMMA is all I get haha.
@@NostalgicAscent Yeah, it looks pretty amazing, but also good to know. When I first noticed that extra detail I was like "omg, GAMMA is insane."

The freedom questline has some cool quests imo, esp with the new gamma 0.93 update. It would be worth keeping them around since youre a loner
I'll have to look up the questlines. So much stuff to think about in gamma as a new player

Regarding 338 federal, yep. Check gamma announcements for when Grok posted the changelog, that ammo is now a mutant killer.
Change log also explains why you can’t go into Red Forest before completing Brain Scorcher
Read stuff so I'm not blind and lost?! Never! Lol. Let's be real, the mat cost and requiring AP mats for the federal ammo is stupid.
That gun is insane for killing mutants, one tapping almost everything with .338
