OHH this has made me so upset for so long. i can never understand why people want to stick themselves into a box, and not just wear what they want to wear regardless of if its in or not

It happens in my area too irl but it’s not as bad as the internet. Also most of these people are probably insecure about wearing whatever they want.

    • @Bubble23428
      @Bubble23428 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Also It’s just clothing for god sake there‘s nothing wrong with wearing whatever clothing items you like. It’s not the 1900‘s or pre 1900’s anymore. Those people shouldn’t worry about wearing clothes that are in or out of fashion.

I am a gym shorts and t-shirt trailer trash aesthetic ❤ lol
But for real I used to see guys with cool aesthetics and awesome clothes and an aesthetic house and I realized I can't be them. I don't have the financial resources to create the aesthetics that those niche expensive clothes and decor items can. So I felt bad that I couldn't "become aesthetic." But I feel like people in the *real world* don't even *care* about aesthetic clothes, except maybe if they are going to an event or if they are in rich social circles. I rarely see anyone with a particularly interesting style. Most people are just living their life without internet brainrot telling them what standards they have to live up to. Delete social media, you will be better off without it.
Good topic and good video. :)

Such a great video. There is beauty in simplicity, in originality. There is beauty in each of us, and I feel like the internet is trying to reduce us to groups that can be labeled. But you can't be labeled if you are just being yourself ❤ that is something that I am coming to terms with in life. That I can't be defined like that

I just watched the 15 seconds and immediately liked and subscribed: FINALLY someone speaks about it! Thank you!

I think you're quite correct, but something important to mention is that "aesthetics" in the current use means a style, so the different aesthetics are a way of classifying and labelling the different styles.
This classification is helpful in understanding the theme of the aesthetic without outright describing it by evoking a certain image, and finding it, which is also very useful on the Internet where there's thousands of "aesthetics".
All the things you mentioned seem to point more towards an issue eith how we engage with Internet, it's structure and the algorithms that drive it.
Algorithms love this kind of simple classification and extremes. The more extravagant a getup or decor is, the more engagements it will have.
I'm afraid there's very little we can do about it for now, but we can acknowledge that the images of aesthetics that we may try to live up to are nothing but curated snapshots, snippets specifically crafted to be unattainable.
We have to be responsible and remember that Internet is not real life.

YESSSS, finally someone speaking my thoughts! I appreciate your bravery stepping out on the internet like that and talking about this. It's something that has been concerning me for quite some time now, and the fact that people don't seem to look through this brainwash content (most people, at least) sometimes feels spooky...

    Yow kid, well done 👍
    You are acing this.
You are that young guy who will become later that adult whose dreams always come true. You can achieve big things. Unless you will enjoy a smaller, simple life. Follow your heart, you will shine.
Elon Musk was a youngster at one point.
You can become a strong member of upper class or farmer if you want. Just keep your professionalism up, make mistakes and fail but rise. If you will stand up after everytime you fall, Im sure you'll get there where you want to be.

when grunge was popular no one wanted to be named and now every little thing has to be under some aesthetic and if not a new aesthetic has to be created I think it will get so absurd that people will return to the idea of grunge btw love your videos 🥰

the worst thing is when someone mislabels an aesthetic so all the comments start arguing over which one it actually is 🙃 speaking as someone who is alternative we did this alot before tiktok and it got exhausting FAST. i thought arguing with an adult over what subculture a skirt was was annoying but teens on tiktok take the cake. i literally just scroll and post whatever i like on there

No offense but...the rant was unhinged. I don't even disagree with your point! It's just that, from the outside, it's pretty clear that the brainrot has a tendency to jump around and land in the blind spots. Do you think you'll watch this back ten years from now and think of your current point of view the same way you currently think of your previous point of view?

Hey, ofc I will have a different opinion in 10 years. But thats normal. We all evolve, I’m literally 15 and it’s okay if I have a different opinion than other people. What do you mean by brainrot jumping around in blind spots tho?
