Keep going my dude. Thanks to this channel (and some others like this) I pay off my card at the end of each month and I'm stacking points on points on points. My credit score is over 800 and I never thought I'd be there.

This is a good video for DINKS or single ppl. For people with a child or children the amount of points needed to go somewhere say, the Maldives, crazy amount! I am trying to take my family of 4 to Maldives in 2025 including hotel and I need about 800k pts, doable but will take many cards. Another issue is even if you do get business cards that counts as a hard inquiry and can drop your credit and ruin any other big spending you want to do in the future. Take a lot of planning and strategy to make all this work out in your favor ESPECIALLY with a family. Holding the pts also makes them less valuable all the time so the more i learn about the cc game the more I am realizing it is catered mostly to ppl without families.

you can get good value from it, by using it as a non commitment hotel card . Stay either at Marriott or Hilton gain points and status or any random hotel in the portal and get status with them. If you're a truck driver it works GREAT.

Please help John. I need a card as a restaurant owner, who has around 50k in food/beverages expenses per month. I’d like to max out on these expenses. Unfortunately “food reps and beverage reps” don’t fall under dining or grocery categories. What card would work best for me?

@@dbnation35 yes and no. The best card is the venture x business card. It’s 2x back on all purchases up to infinity purchases. The catch is you have to pay the full balance every month. I got declined for the card though because my business hasn’t established a credit history yet.

Hey John, I’m looking for a recommendation on a card.
I have an independent commercial insurance agency. I’m currently just a 1 man operation.
My overheard is minimal, I spend maybe $2,000-$3,000 per month. My expenses rank in order from greatest to least
    -Gas
    -Dining prospects
    -Office supplies
    -Website/hosting
    -Microsoft subscription
My fiancé and I fly to a vacation maybe once per year. If I can use rewards from a card to cover some of that great or if I can just get decent cash back… great.
Are there any cards that you would recommend for my specific situation?
    Thanks

I'm thinking about applying for Chase Ink Cash. Would it be a problem if I used it to buy lumber to hit the 6k faster? This would be my first business cc, so I'm not familiar on the rules. Do people actually use this card as a personal cc even though its a business? Does it get reported to the IRS?

You need to be below 5/24 unless one of the cards are a biz cards or authorized user ….or you received a chase preapproval …just my case I got initially denied for the co branded prime visa at 5/24 however I was approved by calling in and having two other chase cards … now I’m waiting 6 months to grab that biz card getting my score up to at least 745 I’m at 717 just my data points hope this helps ! Check out John’s other videos, he has one for beginner CCs. I’d suggest the Discover iT secured CC, that’s what I got my 19yr old brother on to start building his credit score. “Your secured credit card requires a refundable security deposit, and your credit line will equal your deposit amount, starting at $200. You choose the deposit amount up to the credit line approved.” I believe he’s in mid 700 score now. Of course the most important thing is to not spend more than you have saved to cover what you put on card. Always, always payoff the CC in full every month.

But as a beginner, I don't know if I should constantly invest in the US ETFs regardless the pricing (especially bevause the price is very high now) or should I wait for the price to dip ? I'm very confused and don't know what to do. Hopefully you can give me some advice. Thanks a lot !! 🙏

    • @MelvinMaina
      @MelvinMaina 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

I respectfully disagree. The Amex Platinum offers value through its credits ($200 airline credit, $200 hotel credit, $200 Uber credit, etc.) It’s a card for frequent travelers who want to maximize earnings on booking flights. The annual fee is definitely pretty steep, but if you’re able to make use of the credits then you can easily offset it.
