There is no laser infront , Its OLD tech using phosphorus using a laser INSIDE.
WickedLaser had an adapter for this and Acebeam made it better by upgrading the laser diode and better integration. But no, it can't damage your eyes due to radiation, it'll damage you because the surface area is so concentrated in a single spot, exactly how lasers do! Minus the burning that a laser at a similar brightness > which would involve closer distance, might do.
@Canadian Prepper Stop screaming LASER like a moron and do some research.
> Phosphor system for converting far-infrared laser radiation to visible light - May *1971*
I was remembering, when i was a kid my father brought a Sanyo light to my home all we were totally wondered about the brightness of sanyo's light... now it is going very far..., 😁
Almost decade old BMW tech (in the visible illumination area anyway) . Took the Chinese long enough to steal it and do a flashlight using bargain-basement components.
What do you mean BMW tech? Did they have some sort of Laser Excited Phosphor headlight?
@@zappergames4785 , In short, yes.

@@16v15 Hmm, thanks for sharing that article! I'd venture to say that the technology was developing more simultaneously tbh, because other papers on the subject are dated around 2017

@@zappergames4785 Developing simultaneously? Chinese?!? BWAHAHHAHAHA!!!!!
BMW openly admitted these were in development in 2011. Chinese stole/back engineered through some conduit. Happens all day, every day. BMW's own fault for doing any production there, don't get me wrong. Let alone their subs...

Nice I like the dog very smart
I don't know if you read old comments, but I'd like to see you mount this to a pair of binoculars then view something from really far away. Especially since this light has been discontinued.
I just bought the weltool w4 and it was worth every penny!
I do own the W4 too. It's the most efficient flashlight I've ever seen and it's so light!!
good for keeping bears from approaching your campsite/home.
