Dude... i just love your channel. I saw this game today in the Xbox catalog and wondered if you were going to play it hahaha I'm glad you did, because I don't have the time (or courage) to play, so I always come here to watch the gameplay of these games. I'm so glad I found your channel, I'm a big fan.
I think it was this channel I watched "Martha is Dead." Oh my gawd I'm still reeling. You'll never know until you try it. I watched someone a few years ago play Maid of Sker, and then a month later it was for October it was FTP and I was like "What, but it just launched this year and last month?" I looked up the price it was at launch, it was like $30 (USD) and so it makes sense it was with Games With Gold a month later. It was worth it. I did have to spend an hour in the settings getting everything prefect. Chromatic Abhoration, Parralax turned all of that crap off.(What is this a Skyrim Dragon?) The sensitivity and stuff too. Only to rage quit because it tries to be Resident Evil-esqe puzzles. That's stupid, It's Maid of Sker not Resident Evil, but the story was kinda of shammy and weird but the gameplay and the environments and the ambiance of the game. The save menu has a separate song that plays too. Like I said, you'll never know until you try. (I remember when I said that about FN, now I kick gum and chew ass and I'm all outta ass to chew up. Everyone's playing that No build, they added that far too late for me. I got good at building on the fly because I HAD to. So ya see my point? I think it was to hook the rest of the kids that could not build and still wanted to play. Whatever if they think they can run n gun, let 'em try. I spent years of playing Halo before the PC shit to just BE good at shooters. I'm fucking insulted by moron kids who think they are 30, lul get put in place.) Don't listen to the last bit that was for me.
Such a good game with so much potential, for this ending to happen, is also verry confusing to understand what is going on after all, they could have done something better with the story :´). Still a good creepy game tho, thanks for playing!
Can you humor me with this question? It's outside this game, or others in general, but I have to ask man.... What's it like being able to make a living off of this?
He is living the dream. I wish had the luxury to share my games via uploading them to TH-cam. An making $$$$$$$$$. I love this channel because he/she has exquisite taste in games.
I get around $200-250au a month, sometimes jumps to 300-350 if I had a good month. Most of the money goes back into my youtube for new games (6-8 a month on average, $100-150) but it terrifies me. I'm very sickly and this stresses me out so much at times, but I get such nice comments from people and it motivates me. I've had a few close calls with a popular video getting taken down and a false demonetize but somehow I've managed to meet my channel stats and keep it at average or higher every month for over two years so I must be doing something right. I monitored my channels statistics for around six months before applying for the ytpp to make sure it would be stable.
@@ungodly You got the Big Guy watching over you my dude. I'm glad though that you can enjoy it with the days passing by. Everyone needs something they enjoy to help them through life.
Okay... At this point I'm thoroughly annoyed. Not with you, no - you're doing the work much needed by playing these games so we don't have to. Rather, with the game's ending, amd a problem it hints at. Might be the fourth game so far that I've seen on your channel and thoroughly enjoyed for every part but the ending. I mean, I ganuinely expected a huge plot twist, like, Madison is not evil, she, too, was posessed by a demon, and now the two of you try to fend it off together, or, maybe, some creative use of Blue Knees for that matter. Pitting two demonic entities against one another would be amusing, at least, if you're going to die anyway. Hell, I'd settle for Luca botching up the ritual, condemning both Madison and himself. But nope - Madison's evil, Blue Knees don't matter, the ritual is a success, the protagonist dies. And that's my main beef with this game, and many more like it. Back in the day there was this onslaught of Outlast clones, where your character is powerless and the only option is to run and hide. I don't like that type of gameplay, but, well, to each their own. Now there's a sizable amounts of horror games where the protagonist dies in the end - and I don't mean "self-sacrifice for greater good" death, or "you scresed up and got bad ending" death - they just die no matter what. It feels extremely anticlimactic and unrewarding, to be honest, as if I was robbed of a few presious hours of my life by the devs. To top it off, there are games that define themselves as "survival horror" that still do that. So much for freaking survival. But hey - at least I'm not paying for it, thanks to you. So, I guess, I appreciate your effort. Keep at it, comrade.
It also pisses me off. I thought I was sabotaging the ritual from the start from using grandma's ash's and ring it would cause it to try and transfer to a dead person and fail. I thought the sentimental object also had to be Luca's for it to work. Weird ass ritual, guess it can work using chunks of three people. The priest also says that witchcraft users who steal become haunted when they use others sentimental objects. I'm glad it leaves it somewhat ambiguous though when Luca wakes up, but if I wrote the story I would have had the reveal be that the father, John, be the one who was possessed the whole time, since he had contact with Blue Knees as a child and was stealing the ring several times for it.
@@ungodly oh, I wish it was ambiguous, I really do. But, apparently, the devs decided to screw that up instead of the ritual. It's explicitly shown, and even told by the protagonist, that the camera doesn't take pictures of demonic entities, as they just burn themselves for whatever ungodly reason. And then, the camera takes its final picture, which burns as it falls to the floor. It's a beautiful piece of environmental storytelling, I admit, but, knowing the ritual's goal, doesn't leave much space for ambiguity. Whatever it is that wakes up, there's a minuscule chance of it still being Luca.
Thanks for paying attention to notes and stuff, I feel like SHN just blazed through it and missed interesting details

So amusing to watch you play. Only level I do not like about the game is all the clocks ticking. I mean how can you put up with all those clocks?!
Thankfully that puzzle clicked with me and was pretty easy, just time consuming (heh)

@@SchwarzSchwertkampfer Can't argue with that. Pretty tired of working a worthless fast-food job and living in a rotting shed myself.
