I was going to purchase a 2021 Lamborghini Huracan but after viewing this reccomended video and taking into consideration the repair costs associated with backing into a testing facility crash pylon at 8 mph i have decided to settle for a 2009 Mazda 6.
With the current trend of massive grills + SUVs/Cross Overs/Pickups a lot of cars don't have bumpers at the same height or there's a grill in the middle. You won't get off so easily these days.
Things I do not understand: -how these were tested and labelled as "poor" considering they faired pretty well overall -the youtube algorithm suggesting this after 11 years
My gf bought her mazda 6 new gave it to her son 3 or 4 years ago and its been hit and bumped into and driven so hard that it still has held up and drives very well plus never given him any problems still driving it to this day with almost 200k miles put on it honestly a very impressive car for its time mazda is so underrated
I had an '88 Chevy Spectrum hatchback. I'd hit poles in parking lots for fun (youth) at 3-5 mph and sustained no damage. Once a Lincoln Town car hit us from behind when a lady in front of us stopped short. It was a hard hit, but again no damage. Every car was different. Today I see nothing but buckled bumpers, especially on the corner of Toyota Camrys. I know the front ends of cars absorb impact better today. But those bumpers just crumble.
I can attest to the 8th gen accord bumper toughness. Previous owner of my 11 LX bashed it on a few things in the front and back too, but not much deformation
Latest crash test report delivered to me after 11 years. One thing is sure, either i have watched all my algorithm related contents or TH-cam is on a time machine...
For a brand new car it's about right...850 the bumper, 2hrs labor 240, paint the bumper 560, crash beam cushion another 100... not too far from 2000....that's for a toyota. try it with a Cadlac or european car you're looking at double....
@@enzoperruccio I agree, but that's what the dealer charges for. and in case you scuff that thin plastic, you can't do bondo or filler to repair it, it mess up the blind spot radar. I know, crazy....

Expected repair cost: $2000
Repairing in south east asia: $5
then after 5 years the car is a piece of junk that no longer starts
And in Los Santos Customs?
@@regulardudegam1ng More like the car starts but it now runs a 2-stroke
Seriously though, repair cost here in south east asia is definitely cheap.

6mph crash 😂😂😂 like I’m only going 6mph in a parking lot... what y’all think I’m trying to spend the night
I think it simulates speed when actively parking, not traversing the parking lot. Or do you manage to crash driving straight?
