Jonathan Joestar, the man who endured torment from his brother and grew stronger, fought zombies, a vampire, and died with a smile on his face defending his wife, their unborn child, and future daughter-in-law. Most underrated character by far, the man was pure badass.

Even when Jonathan died his headless, vampire-piloted body was still able to give his entire family stands to defend themselves / find and defeat DIO. What a champ.
Jonathan is for me the chosen one, the protector of humanity and the most heroic hero in the entire anime. Sure, his descendants have a heroic impact but no one of them will surpass Jonathans willpower or strength. Without him and his body, what gave the Joestar bloodline their stands was the only reason to let them defend themselves because Joseph was the only human hamon warrior but he couldn’t teach what he learned. Without Jonathan, the Joestars would be dead and humanity would be damned with Dio and his vampires.
The fact that Jonathan, the most chill, kind and caring Jojo, who never committed even a single crime and would even help an enemy (Speedwagon), would probably still love Jolyne as his great-great-great-great-great-grand child is something that comforts me. I'm sure if she knew him she'd love him
Reminds me of a fan comic I saw of Jonathan meeting his descendants, and I agree, Jonathan would probably love Jolyne, and be very proud of her for the sacrifices she made
for me, he's right after after Jotaro, in terms of my favourite Jojo's. First place still goes to Joseph and last to Josuke, but I don't hate the guy, because I know what happenes when someone insults him.
Joseph's feat of fighting the Pillar Men and winning was impressive, but remember that Jonathan is the only human being in the verse that beat a vampire in a fist fight without hamon.
This man...is on another level. No JOJO comes close when it comes to honor. This man defeated his brother who hated his guts, tried to kill him multiple times, and even killed his father, and even so, he cried as he watched him fall. No JOJO comes close. Mad respect you gentleman.

honestly, he is my favorite JoJo, the most heroic one, who was tormented by dio for his entire life, killing his dog, stealing his girl, poisoning his dad, and still, he had the willpower to fight and sacrifice himself to save erina, and joseph's parents. Had a honorable death while holding dio on his hands like if it was his daughter or something, his determination reminds me of simon from gurren lagann (wich is one of my favorite animes) and that's why he is my favorite jojo, Jonathan is right on my heart

I remember that I had to make a motivational speech for grade 10. I used this theme to play as I do my speech, with a projector playing a (with no sound) video of soaring above the clouds. As I was practicing my speech while playing the theme, It was so good, how the pace, tempo and words fit in with the song so well, I got chill myself from just practicing. And as the day I arrived for my class to do their speech, I went last and for a good reason. It was SOOO good it changed everyone's face as if they were paying alot of attention to my speech. Even the English teacher herself was entertained and motivated, as she described it as "theatrical". I wanted to use this theme for my speech, because Jonathan is my favorite jojo and the theme itself made me feel as heroic, brave, enthusiastic and (most importantly) gentlemanly. I was so happy after that moment.
Sometimes I don’t want a flawed character I can relate too. Sometimes, I want someone to look up to, to aspire to be. People like Jonathan and Superman are the type of person I want to be. Kind, brave, strong, and respectful to everyone, including his foes. This is why Jonathan is my favorite Joestar. His gentle, yet fierce nature, his determination to help others, and strong sense of justice.
And here writers keep thinking they need to make superman "interesting" by stripping him of all that paragon goodness. There is an endless amount of stories written about how the hardships of the world will break a person. Characters like Steve Rogers, Superman, All Might, and Johnathan Joestar remind us that its possible to overcome them, and to help others overcome them as well, as well as the important lesson that being nice is not even remotely the same thing as being weak.

I'd like to suggest some other titles for Josuke and Giorno: Josuke: The passionate Giorno: The leader Josuke always gets emotional when it's about his hair or if someone hurts his friends. In the fight with this paper stand, he admitted that he fell in the enemys trap although he knew, because there was a tiny possibility that koichi would get killed, that's why. Although Bucciarati is the leader of the gang, Giorno comes up with ideas and strategies that make the members use their powers to full extent. He is also admired by the others except Abbacchio. He has charisma like Dio.

He was described in the anime as a lion cub. A cub. He was only at the beginning of his potential. Imagine what he could have become. Sadly, as majestic and noble he was, his one weakness, his naivety, was his downfall. But even as he sat dying, he held his enemy close, telling him how sorry he was that it had to end like this, and how much he cared for him. Jonathan Joestar was the best JoJo. He had not a single evil thought in his life. He survived a fight with newborn vampire while being an ordinary human. He chose the destiny of fighting and great risk to his own life to defeat the great danger. He was ready to do that even without Hamon. He fought until his very end. And he did everything like a true gentleman. Jonathan Joestar. May the sunlight itself become the chronicler of your deeds.
I didn't believe in his death because I thought it was the same protagonist until part 3, I felt really bad for him. One of the best JoJos, too underrated.
Even when all faith seems lost, Jonathan kept the fight like a hero. Even Dio was impressed by his courageous efforts to vanquish him. Jonathan deserves the title of the bravest JoJo.
I love his theme honestly. Because it’s like his theme makes him into a knight, a knight who will vanquish the evil that is Dio. Joseph the sun who breaks through the horrid darkness that is dio. That’s how I see it.

honestly, he is my favorite JoJo, the most heroic one, who was tormented by dio for his entire life, killing his dog, stealing his girl, poisoning his dad, and still, he had the willpower to fight and sacrifice himself to save erina, and joseph's parents. I remember that I had to make a motivational speech for grade 10. I used this theme to play as I do my speech, with a projector playing a (with no sound) video of soaring above the clouds. As I was practicing my speech while playing the theme, It was so good, how the pace, tempo and words fit in with the song so well, I got chill myself from just practicing. And as the day I arrived for my class to do their speech, I went last and for a good reason. It was SOOO good it changed everyone's face as if they were paying alot of attention to my speech. Even the English teacher herself was entertained and motivated, as she described it as "theatrical". I wanted to use this theme for my speech, because Jonathan is my favorite jojo and the theme itself made me feel as heroic, brave, enthusiastic and (most importantly) gentlemanly. I was so happy after that moment.

Sometimes I don’t want a flawed character I can relate too. Sometimes, I want someone to look up to, to aspire to be. People like Jonathan and Superman are the type of person I want to be. Kind, brave, strong, and respectful to everyone, including his foes. This is why Jonathan is my favorite Joestar. His gentle, yet fierce nature, his determination to help others, and strong sense of justice.

Since DIO’s head explodes in the clash with Jotaro, technically Jonathan’s body outlived DIO.
i was in a very dark spot before but once i discovered jojo during that time Jonathan thought me that life will have tragedy and to over come or cope it wont just help you but your love ones to and this songed reminded me of that feeling i haven't felt in so long just pure determination , honor , heart and passion for those i hold so dear for he will forever be my role model Jonathan joestar and thank you for paving the way to also that follow

He would've been a great Hammon warrior... and probably utilize hermit purple as a superior stand that could only be challenged by both Great grand son Jotaro, Grandson Josuke and Son Giorno. And what would've been wholesome... would've been that all 3 would've been to connect with him... and Jolyne too.

@@Vergil2899 Rommel explained it exactly. Because DIO had Jonathan's body, he awakened his own Stand AND Jonathan's Stand in Part 3, which was a version of Hermit Purple. That's how he was able to tell that Joseph was watching him via his own version of HP.
