    I used this to setup a Launch Box/Big Box arcade and it works great with it. Big thanks for this!

    Is this still the best method in 2019? I noticed the latest build of LEDBlinky includes a colors.ini file that has presets for the majority of MAME games. My question is will the colors.ini file conflict with LEDBlinkyControls.xml? Wasn't sure if there is a newer approach to easily adding colors to every emulator and rom.

    • @osak00006
      @osak00006  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      LEDBlinky has included the colors.ini for years. This expands that to cover tons more MAME games, not to mention all the other systems. To answer your question, yes, this is still the only tool of its kind, gets you up and running faster, and on tons of systems that you'd have to manually configure, per game, in a few minutes

      @@osak00006 Awesome! Can't wait to try test this out. I have a 4 player cabinet I am working on for a friend. Not sure if this was designed with only 2 players in mind, but this will be a great start either way. Thanks!

    Nice, but what is LEDblinky? I see LED's blink. Is it software/hardware. What kind of LEDs do you need. Doesn't really show it tbh. Ty

      My program is supplemental and you should already be familiar with the software / hardware, before trying to use my software.
      LEDBlinky is software, Ultimarc and GroovyGameGear both offer compatible hardware.
      My tool shortens the time required to map individual systems/games

    I’ve set up LED blinky.. what advantages does this add on do.. just simplify it?
    Also I think you should set active control demos when in your list (see active buttons on the game or system you select before launching it)

      Been checking out the xml... lot of work has been put into this. Are you still adding mame titles? thanks for sharing. Had a couple of questions, you have quite a few mame titles ending in '2play', do those titles already exist in colors/control ini's?what is the purpose of the renamed roms?

    • @osak00006

      I see, hope you don't mind the questions, have 3 questions..I have startup script with a LEDblinky executable entry. But it wont start properly unless enabled in HyperHQ, did I miss something? Also in MAME when having game highlighted game controls wont light up, after launching game they do of course but when exiting all game controls light up when highlighted. And lastly in RLUI is there a difference in enabling LEDblinky with the MAME entry in global vs individual systems?

    How were you able to change the voice in LEDBlinky?

    • @osak00006
      @osak00006  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Acey,
      I'm running Windows 7. For Windows 7, you'll need to install a different TTS voice. The only compatible voices that I've found, and I've searched a bunch, are the TTS voices from Ivona. They're not free, but once installed, it's as easy as selecting the newly installed TTS voice from within the LEDBlinkyConfig GUI. After installing the voice in Windows and selecting it from within the LEDBlinkyConfig, you'll need to restart LEDBlinky before the voice will be used.

    • @aceybrimshore
      @aceybrimshore 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm also running Windows 7.
      I haven't been able to find any that seem to work on my 64bit system.
      I'll search Ivona now and see how I go with it tomorrow,
      Thanks.

      I'm on Windows 7 64 Bit. The Ivona work. I have no affiliation with them, they're just the only ones I've found that work, and I've tested a bunch.

    Hey Owen, I recently set up Ledblinky and Rocketblinky and just wow:)! I ran into a few glitches using Hyperspin but luckily found a post by newoski who recommended using Rocket launcher instead. This has worked so much better. When starting Hyperspin my buttons are no longer lit. Is there a way to set ledblinkyconfig.exe to light buttons on Hyperspin startup? I saw Rocketlauncher/Ledblinky/Wiki had something about setting a profile for "rocketlauncher" Thanks, Marty.

      Just had to set FE option to other and followed your instructions for Rocketlauncher. In your above video it seems your using hyperspin. How are your buttons lit when in Hyperspin? Mine are unlit until Rocketlauncher submits a game. I understand when entering a game, Rocketlauncher sends CDI's and takes control over. How are your buttons lit before Rocketlauncher takes over? Tremendous work! I don't think people quite understand what you've accomplished. Marty

    • @osak00006
      @osak00006  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      frabulop not sure I understand your question. You can disable speaking Start/Coin via LEDBlinky settings, to some extent, but some are in the XML.

    • @danhackley
      @danhackley 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that is what I mean - disable the start/coin part of the process (as this is the same for each game and doesn't need to be spoken out each time). Is it not possible to disable this for all games?

    wasn't sure whether to contact you here or on the HS forum, i am sure this program has saved me several hours of programming. the issue i am having is every system is working except MAME. lets say for example the game 1942 it will say the "player 1 start" and lights the player 1 start button, player 1 coin and light about 5 or 6 different buttons and it does the same thing for the other buttons that go with the game. also instead of saying "primary control 4 way joystick" it actually says up, down, left, right. any suggestions?
