It's ironic that australium wrench is more golden than golden wrench
Wasn’t that because they were bugged drops for the longest time

We could still have Australium buildings added to the game while keeping team recognition intact. The only parts of the buildings that should be turned to gold should be the parts that use gunmetal for their coloration.

The charity was certainly really nice, but it's also been soured for me kinda because I remember one of the lucky finders of a Golden Wrench was bullied and harrassed by people because they did not want to delete their wrench for charity. If memory serves correctly, they eventually did go through and delete it only because they were tired of all the harrassment. Charity is nice, but don't be an asshole to someone who doesn't want to participate.

Seems possible, but probably bunk.
It was true for at least one person (do not remember who it was). I very much remember some people on the Valve forums shaming one of the Wrench finders because they didn't want to give it up and talking about how they were scummy for not wanting to participate. Left a really bad taste in my mouth.
