In 1979 young Donna, Tanya and Rosie graduate from Oxford University -- leaving Donna free to embark on a series of adventures throughout Europe. On her journeys, she makes the acquaintances of Harry, Bill and Sam -- the latter whom she falls in love with, but he's also the man who breaks her heart. In the present day, Donna's pregnant daughter, Sophie, dreams of renovating a taverna while reuniting with her mother's old friends and boyfriends on the Greek island of Kalokairi.

It’s also a mark of how the three of them have become the best of friends despite sharing Sophie between them. They all just act like they’re three different parts of the same person, Sophie’s dad, rather than three separate men with only one being her biological father. It’s sweet.

It’s so cute coz she thought he had abandoned her and chose to stay in New York but he came back for her it’s so beautiful their relationship is such a special one 10 years (or is it 5? in the movie) and their relationship is still going strong also it’s so great to see Sophie loves all 3 of her dads and doesn’t care which one is her actual real father 😊❤️

ABBA music is so emotional, so so full of life, so sublime it almost immediately has an uplifting effect.
Also these movies come close to Hindi motion pictures with the songs.

This was supposed to be the happiest scene in the movie but for personal reasons, it made me sappy. It felt nostalgic. My whole family used to watch mamma mia (first one) all together in the living room and jam to the songs when I was younger. Now we're all seperated because some of my siblings have families now and I live on my own now and we don't live in the same house anymore. This really just made me miss my family so much and I can't wait for this pandemic to be over so we can watch this movie and jam to these songs.

Great performances from lots of great actors in this sequence! And not just Stellan and Colin doing an impersonation of Jack and Rose in Titanic! I also like how Pierce Brosnan (when they say anybody can be that guy) acts in the song, he still got it and looks great! Stellan doing that little Elvis-like impersonation when they get off the boats and are dancing on the docks just makes my day, too.
