ok this is really amazing. I have watched ALOT of videos on how to make kicks on serum and at first I was like what? Ive never seen anyone design an LFO on the coursepit like that. I immediately went into my daw and tried it and it finally has the transient click I have been dying to have. THANK YOU!
This video is perfection. Thank you bro. One of the reasons I want to make my own rather than continue using pre-made is that it may preserve the transients and offer a cleaner, higher quality sound.
My tailer hits were lacking kick/clip. It was essentially a boom sound with a really weak kick. To compensate I would always use a kick from a purchased sound pack and layer it with my Serum or Vital booms. After watching this video I no longer neeed to rely on kick samples. I can just create my own and layer it with my boom. Great stuff.
second video of hundreds that tells the concept of using LFOs to shaping the waveform of our sound the way we want, that's eye opening for me. This kick sounds really good
The only thing is maybe you want to make L3 longer to have a longer tail. And the rand in both LFO to cero. To avoid ramdom phase everytime causing phase issues. But great tutorial .. amazing chanel 🔥
Having to deal with the annoyances of the TH-cam content ID, I've looked EVERYWHERE for a drum synth and couldn't find anything that sounded good, then I found this video. This was a fascinating tutorial on not just making kicks, but even learning a little sound design, straight and to the point too! Awesome video dude, you deserve more subscribers.
I just spent like 2-3 hours trying to figure out why my kick had a load of sustain and echo, and it's because I had it routed through a reverb... Ooof This was a really awesome and concise tutorial I love how simple it was, and it's really easy to see how each of your steps changes the sound for future sound tweaking thanks!
just as an added tip i think turning the rand. knob all the way down on both waveforms will give your kick a more consistent transient. :) this was an incredible tutorial btw, thank you
I love it. Try moving the main light a little to the side that way it creates depth on the left side of your face. It creates a shadow that adds a little touch to the composition. Then if you wanna try this with one more small pocket light, try having it slighty on your face to just add a little light to that dark area on the left side. Please, do not think i am judging you. I came here to learn how to make a badass kick 🤘
You are a great teacher when it comes to this. Simple and easy to learn, with the freedom to experiment with things you say we should play around with. Really great tutorial. Stop sleeping on wild row people
So how do you know what key the kick is in when you start synthesising it? Or you should not care about what key it is in and just design it first and once you finish designing it then find the key it’s in and then pitch it to whatever you want it to be?
Anybody else also having trouble sharping the LFO2? I try to remove the point that is on the right of the screen but it is "attached" to the point on the left of the screen. Whenever I touch one of them the other one moves as well... And I can't delete the point at the right
You are legit really really really good. I was expecting something half assed. Well done man. (coming from someone whos been playing with sound design for over a decade)
Very helpful, thank you so much! Another thing we should do is turn the "rand" knob all the way down so the kick always plays in the same phase and we don't get different kicks everytime. Cheers!!
Dammmm.......... You are soooo good at LFO shape designing. I really suck at that part. By the way this is the best video for making House kick from scratch.
great explanations especially the advice lfo points have a lot of influence defining character. Where do i control the release time (longer tail sound), if i do this with the lfo i get a more and more distorted sound. Thank you.
I downloaded gtune. No matter where I set the semitones, it says F#😕 How do I get it to C? I’ve moved the semitone numerous numbers, and the sound and name of key stays the same. F#. 😕 I need to add that this video is badass! Great tutorial. Only issue is I don’t know how to get it to C. Stays in F#. Thanks for any help🙂
idk if youve improved since this video but its helpful for us to see serum more than cutting to your face full screen constantly. look at it from our perspective not yours
*Suggest me more basic sound design videos* 👇🏽
Hardstyle kick XD
Some kind of screeches would be nice.
How to pitch a Hardstyle kick..

I find this lesson extremely useful as well as knowing how to warp sounds onto Serum.
Thanks!
this and your snare tutorial absolute breath of fresh air no time wasted and everything that needs to be covered is covered in enough detail respect
Thaaanks!
Very cool background and lights! Love it! 🔥🔥
Thanks!!
After multiple replays I see I wasn't adjusting the release to where I wanted. Appreciate the condensed style of this video.
This is great, thanks man. I changed the Basic Shapes to the analogue Sine to make a more analogue kick which sounds awesome
just as an added tip i think turning the rand. knob all the way down on both waveforms will give your kick a more consistent transient. :) this was an incredible tutorial btw, thank you
Yes, I forgot that!
what can i do when I miss a little flick in it?

Very nice video mate!
Great tutorial for some real prog house kicks!
Useful mate. Easy to focus on synth/bass sounds on serum but you have opened up the percussive side of it now. Thanks 👍
Happy to help!
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing
I've had this explained to me so many times and not had it click but this tutorial was perfect thanks so much < 3

Nobody can delete that point, those 2 are always there

brilliant thank you
Thanks for this video! Perfect explaining.. What I also try to look for is how to make sound close to the water-drop sound..
Try a sine wave and pitch it up with lot of reverb
Very helpful, thank you so much! Another thing we should do is turn the "rand" knob all the way down so the kick always plays in the same phase and we don't get different kicks everytime. Cheers!!
Yes, I forgot that!!

Spending 2 weeks making it 😂
Making Hardstyle kicks is easy, Really.
Well... Depends on the kind of kick and the quality of it
@@wildcrowmusic Yes Obivously, and i didnt say it wouldnt take time of course it takes like 30mins to get it or sometimes few days :)
@@miscellaneous1276 I would be happy to see you making a very clean and finished hardstyle kick in 30 minutes from scrach ^^

Great video!, im struggling to find a link to download G tune. Can anyone help me out
Put in some sound design content with FL Studio native synths like Sytrus, GMS, Harmor & Toxic Biohazard
This is awesome, thanks for posting it... how to make hi hats with serum ??
Thanks!

@@wildcrowmusic I'm happy with your answer of my question, is there something to follow? Sorry i forgot the question mark.
Omg hypet🔥🔥🔥
😁😁
You look good in this video Eric
Thanks!
how can i then make it a sample
I downloaded gtune. No matter where I set the semitones, it says F#😕
How do I get it to C? I’ve moved the semitone numerous numbers, and the sound and name of key stays the same. F#. 😕
I need to add that this video is badass! Great tutorial. Only issue is I don’t know how to get it to C. Stays in F#.
Thanks for any help🙂
So weird... You might be doing something wrong but don't know what
another video like this!
Will do 👌🏼👌🏼
Bro plzz make a video on tunning the samples according to the song.
You just need to pitch them up or down
You forgot to turn the random knob down so the kick doesn’t play out of phase on new notes.
Didn't I? Ouch
i have like 3 kicks that i like alot i mean they are pretty good i found them in a pack and i use them all the time
That's good, no problem at all!
Can u send me those 3 kicks pls?
idk if youve improved since this video but its helpful for us to see serum more than cutting to your face full screen constantly. look at it from our perspective not yours
If I show my face full screen is because I'm not doing anything on the screen at that moment
Hey how to add metadata in serum presets, like author name, description, date etc?
Clicking in the section for that
And this, kids, is what they call "sound design". This is how it's done. And I don't get it. But thank you Mr. Officer.
😂😂
Bro please 🙏🏻🙏🏻 make a vedio..how to make Dubstep and automation ...
I don't make Dubstep
Next how to make snare please master🥺🥺🥺🥺

Shift + ALT + Click

Hmm. I followed the instructions exactly but I couldnt get the voiceless sound
Voiceless sound?
I want this preset or wav file
Just do exactly what I do in the video

Will do in the future
Dubstep sound design
Not really into that
¿Qué hace Broncano ahí?
Lol, no me parezco en nada
Use headphones or monitors for a better results
Well, that's obvious
say more or less one more time and see what happens
