    Making that change, and not enjoying the drive, is a downer for sure. You still have your options for your 12 wides, so that is a plus. You wouldn’t have known unless you did it - and that’s the point of your content! You’re helping the people make the best choices. Great vid, Q!

    This might be unpopular in some truck circles, but trucks need sidewall. Go old school and downsize the rims to a 17x9 or 10, 18” at the most and run 37s. Nomex on.

    I understand everyone has their own style and things that they like but if I have to drive different roads, can’t even turn out of my driveway without making a multi point turn and things like that, that’s where I draw the line. That’s way too much work to look good. I will keep my truck at stock height and stock tire size so I don’t have to worry about any of that. But then again I’m old school and I’ve never been a fan of the big oversized wheels. Give me some normal sized wheels and meatier tires, but only if I can fit them without making alterations to my truck. But that’s just me. Again I understand everyone has their own style and things they are willing to do and put up with.

    Q ! ... gotta get those front tires balanced correctly ... that's why you are having that shudder .... 37 inch tires have to be close to perfect when balancing , even if it means they switch tires from one wheel to another .... at my shop, we didn't allow wheels with tires in the 35-42 range to have more than 2 ounces of weights specially for the front.... Also since you have lower profile tires you are going to feel more feedback from the road, better shocks up front will greatly improve your ride quality, fox 2.5 with dsc adjusters is what you should be running up front ...

    Wondering if you have a wheel or wheels out of balance. I know you just got it done, but wheels of that size are sometimes hard to get balanced on the first try. I had a similar issue on my setup initially. I actually swapped to a larger setup recently and the shake/shutter/steering pull all went away. Later found out that I had wheel balance issues causing those issues at highway speeds.

    • @CheechDogg.0n37s
      @CheechDogg.0n37s ปีที่แล้ว

      That's exactly the issue ... I noticed how they mounted and balanced his tires/wheels ... they didn't do it correctly .... he needs the front tires/wheels to have the least possible weights on them ....another thing is the rough country lift and vertex coilovers, those are not good enough for a lifted truck with 37 inch tires .... he needs to replace them with the fox 2.5 with dsc adjusters ....
      I'm actually going to re-balance my wheels/tires tomorrow because I am starting to get some light vibrations, I last balanced them last August, you should rebalance and rotate wheels/tires every 6-8k miles or when you do your oil changes ... out of balanced wheels can damage suspension parts so keeping them balanced is crucial

    Hey man you are right with everything you said but I think it can be fixed. My bro has 40x15.50's on his f250 and it rides perfectly. I believe if you have the low speed "shutter" that is a wheel balancing issue. When you get massive tires/wheels sometimes wheel weights won't work. We have ran sand bags or BB's in the wheels and they fix the issue but you have to figure out how much weight to use for that. You will also hear them at low speeds. The wide tires will definitely make you feel the road more with bump steer etc though. If you go to a offroad shop only like 4wheelparts they can probably fix all the issues for you. Alignments get done the old school way without electronics and will get it right for you as well.

      You don't use balancing beads on bigger tires, especially in areas with climate like Texas has, moisture will make them bind together causing more vibrations ... you will also feel vibrations until you are going fast enough with bigger tires ... I worked for big o tires for a few years and we didn't use balance beads ever ...

      @CheechDogg.0n37s we all have our own opinions. Mine was what I said speaking from my own experiences in various setups with 37 inch plus tire sizes with florida climate and all have worked amazingly on different truck applications.

      Thanks for the insight bro and I would assume a F250 would handle a big set up much better than a half ton. Imo this is a big setup for a F150. But yes, I definitely need to do some things to help it out.

      @KickinItWithQ Yeah a f250 has a different setup. But we also had a f150 on 41.5 x14.50 Iroks still using independent front suspension (same as your current truck). Btw I started watching all your videos because I recently got a 22 f150. I enjoy your topics , keep it up bro

    As long as the drive thru's don't have a curb on the passenger side of the vehicle, you're good! That's the only one's I'll drive through with either my F-150 on 12-inch wides or my more expensive wheels on my ST.
