After Tommy took over Diaz business, some of Diaz goons started working for Tommy. There's a minor character named Mike who's seen in mission "Cop Land" who used to be Diaz bodyguard. He looks a bit like a younger Miguel, and Mike is also "Miguel", translated to spanish. I wonder if they could be the same person? Maybe not, but it does make sense that Tommy has the Colombians that used to work for Diaz form the Colombian Cartel. Would surely explain why the Cartel was protecting Avery Carrington in LCS.
One theory that i think makes A LOT of sense is that since Tommy killed the head of the Forelli family at the end of the game, they soon had to come back for revenge. Given that Ken Rosenberg was working with Tommy, why would they accept him as mediator of the Mafia casino in 92? The answer is that Ken mediated the peace between the Forelli and Vercetti after 1986, as Ken was a former associate of the Forelli and didn't outright betray them like Tommy. With this spectacular feat of achieving peace between the Forelli's and Vercetti, he was then chosen as the right man to mediate the 3 families Casino.
In San Andreas The Introduction It's stated that the Sindaccos only put Ken there because Salvatore wanted a third party beyond the families,and Ken states in his missions that the Forellis were looking for any reason to kill him,but hadn't done so because the cassino was still lucrative and the Leones were looking out for him,Ken fell off with Tommy

Before Miguel, the Columbian Cartel was run by Cisco from ????-2000. After he died some Paul Bearer looking guy took over, but I am guessing he died as well canonically in GTA Advance as well. That leaves Miguel to become the leader, but I am not entirely sure he even was a leader. I think the Columbian Cartel were remnants of Diaz's cartel. The reason I say that is because as you mentioned the Columbian cartel makes referencing living in Vice City at one point. Diaz IS Columbian. I do not think that the Columbian cartel is connected with Tommy Vercetti as well. I don't think Tommy was interested in Liberty City as he made it clear that there is no more up north from now on. The only sign of Tommy's prescience is his cash flow from two of his legitament businesses the Cherry Popper Ice Cream company, and his pornography business.
Given the fact that GTA VC is in the 3d universe and GTA 6 will be in the HD like 4 and 5, I don't think we'll encounter Tommy in the new game unfortunately, like what happened to CJ where we didn't encounter him in GTA 5

They are fictitious and myths in the HD (GTA 4,5 & 6) world, none of the cartoon characters (Claude, Tommy or CJ) can crossover to the HD world. Just remember, Avery is already a successful professional real estate mogul so that's that, no denial. Also, Avery first established partnership with Panlantic in 1998, that was his first time having any connection with them... Unfortunately for him, he got killed by Toni under the order of Donald Love so there's absolutely no way that Tommy could have had any stakes in Panlantic nor does he actually has a share with Avery in his businesses (like I said, Tommy runs his own business, Avery runs his own business) 3. That mansion in VC reference in LCS could've simply implied that some members of Diaz's Gang, who are Colombians ofc, refused to take orders from Tommy and decides to move to Liberty City, where, conveniently, another Colombian Cartel operates at. I doubt Vercetti Gang consists of any Colombians since the accent of Tommy's goons ingame sounded more Italian-American so the Colombians must've been from Diaz's Gang 4. Catalina's sudden rise in fame could've simply be concluded by the fact that she's close to Miguel, NOT Tommy Vercetti. Like I said in number 3, Tommy DOES NOT have a connection with the Colombian Cartel and the members in LCS simply refused to work with Tommy after Diaz's death. There's a huge gap between 1992 and 2001 so this means Catalina and Claude could've met Miguel at anytime during that period. Knowing Catalina, she probably did try to flirt with Miguel just like he did with Claude, because she found out from people and whispers that Miguel is a Cartel member and later leader in 2000 (Cisco is the leader of the Cartel until 2000 where he died in GTA Advance, Miguel was possibly the Lieutenant which explains why he was able to claim leadership). We all know the obvious persona of Catalina, she's greedy an power hungry. She switched her love to Claude when she knew CJ had outlived his usefulness and will not fulfill Catalina's wish to gain more money. She abandons CJ for Claude because he's the perfect puppet for her to be able to rise in fame and eventually gained Miguel's trust for her to be able to become his right-hand woman.

What I always thought about Catalina and Claude is that one job went terribly awry, and they had to flee to Mexico or even further south, and that's how they met Miguel and the cartel. I always liked that the cartel was mysterious. "Colombian Cartel" is not a specific name at all, likely on purpose. I often express my disagreement with the different universe thing, and here's where things get interesting: I think Tommy is dead by 2008 due to a major police raid. No way he'd be willing to go back to prison, so a Scarface-like battle it'd have been. And if the mansion isn't on Starfish Island in GTA 6, another simple explanation: authorities demolished it to keep him from having a legacy. Lester says, "That crew from the South, they all went down" when discussing people to hire for the jewel job. I've debated with others, but so far, I don't believe there exists a more formidable gang down there except for Vercetti's gang. Lester had to have known about Vercetti due to the bank job for the Malibu asset, or maybe Tommy pulled a few other heists after that. We discussed Lester that possibly meant a different area known as "South" as opposed to the Southeast US, but there also isn't mention of a Southwest US often. I recently made up one of those silly theories you mentioned, so I'll keep it to myself, or add it as a surprise in a fan fiction.

Ray Liotta died last year so he won't be in VI. I expect nothing more than some easter eggs and references to the 80's, and some in game tribute to Liotta.
I understand that Lazlo appears in the 3D games and in the HD games but that's because there's two different versions of him in each universe. the HD Universe has references to the 3D games but those are just simple Easter eggs. so yeah GTA has separate universes 2D 3D in HD.

And then his daughter, when he was in prison, began to travel around the country, visiting San Andreas, where she remained even after his release, until in '92, having learned about the cartel (at the same time, she knew about her father, and at that time he was already making contact with them) she decided to travel around the country again with her bf - with the final point in Liberty City, where they finally arrived in 2001.

his plan is for tommy to kill Diaz and replace Diaz and then like he said in the first scene when the cards are right when come in and takeover so now the forreii family not only has connections down south instead now they have there territory in liberty city with the other two families but now they got turf in vice city and our one of the major gangs down there which means the other families will view the forreii family as the strongest however tommy finds out about everything and ends up killing everyone including Vance who was supposed to be the new tommy for them but I disagree cuz I think if sonny would have won he would have had one of his capos or if he had a underboss run things so my theroy is tommy after killing everyone stays in vice city and becomes the mob boss down there cuz liberty city has three mafia families one of whichs don he killed plus the Leones would immediately go to war with the vercitti family since tommy killed a bunch of them in the harbour massacre, the sindacco family might help tommy since they hate both the other families but have always been the weakest of the three families so it wouldn't help much, and tommy tells ken everything is down south now which means tommy is full on invested in vice city being his, The vercitti family at the end of the game is very powerful they have territory in every part of vice city now they have wearhouses to store and produce cocaine ( the ice cream factory) the have legit business to laundry money ( strip club, the night club, taxi cab etc.) they also have ways to transport drugs ( taxi can service, boat yard, etc.) and businesses that can sell there drugs they want to sell on the streets( ice cream factory, strip club, night club) and he can sell outta state with his boat yard so tommy has no need to move or expand the business comes to him he don't move for no one he's the boss wanna do business you have to meet him, wanna move drugs in or outta vice city talk to the vercitti families Don first for protecting or buy from them vice city has no other mafia family it's perfect plus he has made friends with some of the gangs like the Cubans, the bikers etc who are now probably his top hometown buyers it should also be noted that in san Andreas CIA agent torreno explained to cj how he's not the only one running a drug syndicate " kid you think I'm the big shot no I'm a nobody I run a non Before Miguel, the Columbian Cartel was run by Cisco from ????-2000. After he died some Paul Bearer looking guy took over, but I am guessing he died as well canonically in GTA Advance as well. That leaves Miguel to become the leader, but I am not entirely sure he even was a leader.
I think the Columbian Cartel were remnants of Diaz's cartel. The reason I say that is because as you mentioned the Columbian cartel makes referencing living in Vice City at one point. Diaz IS Columbian. I do not think that the Columbian cartel is connected with Tommy Vercetti as well.
I don't think Tommy was interested in Liberty City as he made it clear that there is no more up north from now on. The only sign of Tommy's prescience is his cash flow from two of his legitament businesses the Cherry Popper Ice Cream company, and his pornography business.
Given the fact that GTA VC is in the 3d universe and GTA 6 will be in the HD like 4 and 5, I don't think we'll encounter Tommy in the new game unfortunately, like what happened to CJ where we didn't encounter him in GTA 5
Bingo it has been stated multiple times that’s 3, Vice City & San Andreas are part of the cartoon trilogy. They are fictitious and myths in the HD (GTA 4,5 & 6) world, none of the cartoon characters (Claude, Tommy or CJ) can crossover to the HD world. Best they can do is a nod to the character as a parody movie or video game in GTA 6 as a meta joke.

Which pretty much assures that was pretty much alive and active in 2002, and considering the fact that by the end of gta 3(2001) every highly influential gang in that universe got disbanded one way or another, we can pretty much assume he is still active till this date.

Let me add this: Catalina was Cesar's cousin and yes Cesar was Mexican but that doesn't mean she don't have Colombian family not mentioned in game... Yes Avery Carrington died in 1998 during the events of Liberty City Stories, but that like the video mentions never meant Tommy Vercetti couldn't have funded Pan-Lantic (which is likely a renaming of Avery Construction) as Tommy and Avery were both alive and well in 1992... Now Miguel calls Catalina baby in the mission where she shoots him and escapes... She definitely could have Colombian heritage as well as Mexican and be the "wife" of Miguel and thus run the Cartel that way... Now say Tommy was still funding Pan-Lantic even after 1998 since it would be profitable for his business in Vice City, and who did Tommy Vercetti take over for? Ricardo Diaz whom was Colombian (perhaps a small hint) and funded Avery Carrington who ran Pan-Lantic which seems to be above the cartel as while the leaders don't seem to like Donald Love after he ripped them off he technically got back rich because of the Pan-Lantic deal, which he got via Toni Cipriani's deeds...
okay, here's where you started getting it wrong:
1. Tommy does not need to return the favor to Avery, Avery is the one who's returning the favor to Tommy by teaching him about real estate. Remember the mission Riot? Avery said, "Son, you help and any greaseballs giving you hard time, I'll see to it they take a long dirt nap". So, it's obvious that Tommy helped Avery first, not the other way around
2. Tommy runs his own business, while Avery runs his own business. Avery is already a professional real estate mogul at that time, he even manages Shady Acres according to a radio advertisement, so he doesn't need any additional funding from Tommy which could put his real estate business at risk since Tommy's a drug kingpin. Just remember, Avery is already a successful professional real estate mogul so that's that, no denial. Also, Avery first established partnership with Panlantic in 1998, that was his first time having any connection with them... Unfortunately for him, he got killed by Toni under the order of Donald Love so there's absolutely no way that Tommy could have had any stakes in Panlantic nor does he actually has a share with Avery in his businesses (like I said, Tommy runs his own business, Avery runs his own business)
3. That mansion in VC reference in LCS could've simply implied that some members of Diaz's Gang, who are Colombians ofc, refused to take orders from Tommy and decides to move to Liberty City, where, conveniently, another Colombian Cartel operates at. I doubt Vercetti Gang consists of any Colombians since the accent of Tommy's goons ingame sounded more Italian-American so the Colombians must've been from Diaz's Gang
4. Catalina's sudden rise in fame could've simply be concluded by the fact that she's close to Miguel, NOT Tommy Vercetti. Like I said in number 3, Tommy DOES NOT have a connection with the Colombian Cartel and the members in LCS simply refused to work with Tommy after Diaz's death. There's a huge gap between 1992 and 2001 so this means Catalina and Claude could've met Miguel at anytime during that period. Knowing Catalina, she probably did try to flirt with Miguel just like he did with Claude, because she found out from people and whispers that Miguel is a Cartel member and later leader in 2000 (Cisco is the leader of the Cartel until 2000 where he died in GTA Advance, Miguel was possibly the Lieutenant which explains why he was able to claim leadership). We all know the obvious persona of Catalina, she's greedy an power hungry. She switched her love to Claude when she knew CJ had outlived his usefulness and will not fulfill Catalina's wish to gain more money. She abandons CJ for Claude because he's the perfect puppet for her to be able to rise in fame and eventually gained Miguel's trust for her to be able to become his right-hand woman.
I never thought that deeply about it! But I knew Tommy was alive in 2001. What I always thought about Catalina and Claude is that one job went terribly awry, and they had to flee to Mexico or even further south, and that's how they met Miguel and the cartel. I always liked that the cartel was mysterious. "Colombian Cartel" is not a specific name at all, likely on purpose. I often express my disagreement with the different universe thing, and here's where things get interesting: I think Tommy is dead by 2008 due to a major police raid. No way he'd be willing to go back to prison, so a Scarface-like battle it'd have been. And if the mansion isn't on Starfish Island in GTA 6, another simple explanation: authorities demolished it to keep him from having a legacy. Lester says, "That crew from the South, they all went down" when discussing people to hire for the jewel job. I've debated with others, but so far, I don't believe there exists a more formidable gang down there except for Vercetti's gang. Lester had to have known about Vercetti due to the bank job for the Malibu asset, or maybe Tommy pulled a few other heists after that. We discussed Lester that possibly meant a different area known as "South" as opposed to the Southeast US, but there also isn't mention of a Southwest US often. I recently made up one of those silly theories you mentioned, so I'll keep it to myself, or add it as a surprise in a fan fiction.
