that's great! so much patience ! all the videos of this channel are very interesting and useful, thank you for your work. it's so good that now I have a profiling machine for this, my reeds did not play well with hand sharpening.
Excellent video! Very thorough, step-by-step explanation. For all the very fine scraping work, I've found the Reed Geek's "Double Geek" to be an absolutely essential tool!
I’d never have a parrot as an oboist reed maker. No profiler for me. I met Robert Gilbert in 1972 and been making reeds ever since then, and still. I wonder what gouge you use. Thanks for sharing. By the way, I never did have a recording of what your soundtrack is here. It sounds like an Italian Concerto. I have 10,000 records and I don’t think I have a copy of that :-)
I'm sorry, I'm waiting for the profiling machines blade because it was blunt, I let it sharpen. It should come on Wednesday (20.5.) I hope the video will be ready next week.
I've just subscribed. May I please ask what oboe you are using? Have you used an AK Loreé, and would your scrape be different because of the brand of oboes available? Thank you for your videos. I have at least several of Holligers LP releases, of around 190+.
Hello 😉 I use for scraping knife from Chiarugi, I bought it long time ago,but I think is still avialible 🙂 I have another one, also from Chiarugi, but I prefer this one 😉
Exactly what I've been looking for: no fluff, no fillers, just straight on with the nitty gritty, Thank you so much.
