Gorgeous items, great to hear your tips and I appreciate you showing your "mishaps " as we all have them and it really helps us all out ❤ thoroughly enjoying your videos.
Yvonne, that white stool you fought so hard to fix is actually the one that looks genuinely antique. I would probably buy that one if I were looking for a stool. The spindle stools are beautiful and they look new. I always enjoy your videos. I look forward to them the way I do a tv show. You are the best crafter on TH-cam. I enjoy your honesty. I've been there myself when things I try go wrong. We all have. Keep going! YOu always end up making things look beautiful.
Omygoodness! I love them all, even the milk paint one. And I love going through the process with you, so we see what happens when you put this with that. We get to find out what works and what does not work. But, as I said I love every one of these stools. My favorite is the swivel stool, gorgeous! Second favorite is the saddle seat stool, it has my name on it! Great work guys! Take care! xx
When I stenciled many years ago a tip I would have for you is the stiffer the brush the less bleed through so as my brush wore down i would use masking tape and tape around the brush to keep the bristles tight just a little hack that helped me and bouncing with small circles for better control
All the stools are stellar, but the black and red one wins hands-down for me! I love how you deal with your problem child with patience and determination -- I would have thrown in the towel.
You are so funny "Not really, I don't even know what the process is". That cracked me up. That was a lot of work on that little white stool. I love that you don't give up. I would have repainted it or thrown it into the burn pile (I'll bet you guys have one). Your video's have inspired me so very much. I've been told "you just don't see stuff like yours. Everything is the same out there". Thank you so much, Yvonne for giving me ideas, coaching and mentoring!!
Wow!!!!! They all turned out gorgeous in my eyes!!!! My favourite was definitely the round swivel one. And just an fyi. I just got the grain sack strips too and I found you have to do the pounce technique rather than the swirl. Hope that helps!!! Excellent job as always!!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I love when you use the tape to do your lines. It seems to be easier to work for someone like me that is iffy in the first place to try this. Thank you for sharing different options to do a project. I am loving everything.
I love stools too!! Such a variety of looks for your items! This is how we all learn to try a new technique! Thank you! And i love your hair in this video!!
Totally amazing flips!! Your honesty and perseverance are just what make you so successful! I continue to enjoy watching you and Chris work together. Thank you for all of your hard work and sharing your process!
The stools are awesome! There's a product called pixie spray that you spray on the back of stencils to make them stick but be removable. Might be useful to you for projects like this.
I've never been this fast getting over to view a video! Thank you for all of your inspiration!!!!(Edit: My name is Virginia but I'm watching from my husband's phone because mine has to charge) You have inspired me so much!!! Thank you for all of your tips and tricks, on your videos, that have helped me on my projects.
Yvonne ~ I LOVE the decoupage paperwork you did to those stools!!! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the chippy milk paint stool. It turned out aged to perfection!! Please do another video or 2 on chippy milk paints. They are my favorite.:)💞
Lovely job, as usual, Yvonne!! I think I'm most impressed with the perseverence with the milk paint one! That was challenging when it didn't come out as you planned, but you kept trying and I think it is wonderful. Keep the great content coming!! Ps. Your hair is FAB!!!
I watched a couple of people who were stenciling furniture say if you spray some clear coat or Polyacrylic on the stencil or under it to keep from bleeding. I'm sorry I don't remember the details. I intend to research it again but just a tip. Another tip is to spray the back of decoupage paper lightly with clear coat. I saw the decoupage tip on Flea Market Rescue. I've tried it on tissue paper, napkins, and scrapbook paper so far.
Love how you show the good/bad/ugly, and all the ways to fix it!!! Been following you for some time, and enjoy/learn something from all your videos!! Thank you for sharing all you and your hubby do!!!
Yvonne, I loved all the stools. So many great ideas. I have always loved your hair, especially the color, but that updo looked so stinkin’ cute on you.
The stools are hard to find in my area. However, I am super excited about this video because I lucked in to finding 2 (on different trips) at Goodwill. I had an idea of what I wanted to do but it’s always fantastic to have more ideas. ♥️ Tyfs I love that you share the good, the bad and the ugly on new products. I don’t really have money to waste on things that just aren’t going to work for me. I also 100% agree with you on the wrinkles when decopaging pieces. If I wanted crisp pieces maybe then it would bother me but I love to create things that look authentically aged over time. It just doesn’t match up if the decopaging is perfect.
Wow. All of these are fantastic. The milk paint stool turned out beautifully! I love watching your videos. You are so inspiring and I love watching and learning from you. Thanks for all you do!
Love the stools! Thanks for previewing the grainsack stencils. I have often thougth about ordering them but I can see I wouldn't be happy with them. Thank you for saving me the expense. I'll stick to your tape method.
I love these stools! And the one with the curved legs. Wow! I love what you did! The decoupage with the cow head! I can’t pick a favorite. I have started learning grain stripes with your masking tape methods and have had very good luck with it. You’re a great teacher! I do have Jami’s grain sack stencils. They do work beautifully, but for me, I pounce with those, not swirl. And a very very VERY dry brush and pounce hard and fast. It’s a workout. But I’ve never had bleed through. The downside compared to your masking tape method is you’re limited in size and design and can’t go around edges like I often want. At least not easily. Love how your white stool turned out. I’m learning milk paint too. Sweet Pickens does have something called “extra bond” to add to your milk paint that will slow down your chippy-ness or lessen it depending on how much you add to your paint. There’s a learning curve and I’m still in it. But I love the silky feeling of real milk paint so that’s my carrot at the end of the stick to master it! I’ve followed you for quite a long time and try never to miss a video! I’m so happy you have retired because your ideas are wonderful and the more videos you make the better for all of us! Can’t wait to see what is next!
Ok so I just have to say I think those stencils didn't do the grain sac strips as well as you normally do them with the tape. Maybe so repositionable spray adhesive would help.
I actually like the way the milk painted stool turned out, you saved it. But whew, that was labor intensive! But at least it was a learning experience, so that's worth something. I kept hoping you would pounce the paint while stenciling those stripes, I think it would have been a much cleaner result, but it seems you have your own method down with the tape, so all's well that ends well. Nice job on all of them.
They were all nice but I actually liked the white one that you had the most trouble with. I kind of liked it right from the start but you always end up making it better!
I buy these odd stools all the time for my sister to use In her classroom. I'm always looking for ideas to make them look special. You've given me some new ideas. Love the idea of adding black paint to the antiquing wax.
Love those stools. Great job… hope people realize how much time and effort you put into them! ❤
I love all of these stools they are all beautiful.
Gorgeous items, great to hear your tips and I appreciate you showing your "mishaps " as we all have them and it really helps us all out ❤ thoroughly enjoying your videos.
Wow, your hair always looks lovely but I'm liking the up do. Great video as usual 👍

You are just so precious and genuine. I love that you are a lady of faith spreading good❤

Oh.. thank you for sharing that
These are great Yvonne! I am most impressed that you can get all of your hair on top of your head! 😂😂😂😂
Lol.. I know right. Thank you
Omygoodness! I love them all, even the milk paint one. And I love going through the process with you, so we see what happens when you put this with that. Thank you
Like your hair today. These stools look great. I'm trying to master stencils. Love the different ways you did these stools. Thanks guys.
Thank you for your kind compliment and for sharing 🤍
That stool with iron base is an oldie but goodie...
When I stenciled many years ago a tip I would have for you is the stiffer the brush the less bleed through so as my brush wore down i would use masking tape and tape around the brush to keep the bristles tight just a little hack that helped me and bouncing with small circles for better control
Oh.. thank you for sharing that tip.
All the stools are stellar, but the black and red one wins hands-down for me! I love how you deal with your problem child with patience and determination -- I would have thrown in the towel.
Aww.. I bet you wouldn’t of. Thank you
Love all of these and how they turned out. I've never had good luck with the chippy finish with milk paint, but you made lemonade out of that lemon!
Oh. Thank you for sharing that
You are so funny "Not really, I don't even know what the process is". That cracked me up. That was a lot of work on that little white stool. I love that you don't give up. Love the square decoupage stool with the steer on it!!! ❤️❤️❤️
