@kman6431, _officially_ it *_is_* like New York City in that it's the financial and media capital of Canada, however _phyisically_ it's more like Los Angeles in how it's laid out.

nice city but as a tourist, not to live there

I have always thought in the reverse. It's a good place to live but not to visit. There's always something happening here, especially in the summer. But I have always felt it was not a destination city. Most touristy things can be done easily done in a few days. And then it's been there and done that.

@@marshallrichmond4909We were originally going to stay for a week but we shortened our stay to 5 days. 4 days exploring and one lazy day at the hotel. We felt that was perfect

Toronto is quite boring to visit but pretty cool to live, there are plenty of neighbourhoods with affordable cousine from around the world, lots of cultural stuff to do in there as well, every international event like bands and musicians always perform in Toronto, lots of nighclubs as well. If you like going into international concerts, nighclubs, or shopping, its your city. Aside from that the city has lots of parks as well, so its pretty cozy and chill all around

As far as I'm concerned the two squares mentioned are not worth visiting because there's practically nothing there to see. Eaton Centre is all right but as a mall Yorkdale is far superior and with high end merchants ,unlike Eaton Centre. The ROM is a truly magnificent museum . I don't see how the Falls can be included here as it is most definitely not Toronto. Places not mentioned are the Path ,a truly unique concept and Allen Gardens.

I went to both Yorkdale and Eaton. Neither were particularly interesting to me but Yorkdale had a much better layout and looked more attractive. Plus it has an awesome artisan type coffee place on the first floor.
Agreed, Niagara Falls are definitely not Toronto but it seems that many visitors to Toronto, go for the falls if only for a day trip. Like I did. I'm not sure if it was a good decision to do just a day trip though.

Nathan Phillips is good to go only in winter because the water freezes and they turn it into a ice skating
