- Zkouška maximální rychlosti a zrychlení u Honda GL1800 DCT Gold Wing Tour v módu SPORT, na dálnici v Německu s kontrolou pomocí GPS, aby se eliminovalo případné proměřování tachometru. Omezovač rychlosti bohužel zasáhne sice decentně, ale nekompromisně 😭😭😭. Výška jezdce 184 cm, váha s helmou a motohadry kolem 100 kg.

Lower the windscreen, remove any bags you can, and defeat the limiter, they do about 140-145mph(225-233kmh).
Any idea how to fix the limiter?
@@sadvery8105 besides some ECU tune you can use Healtech SpeedoHealer.
Speed limiter still hasn't been defeated. This is the slowest and most boring Goldwing iteration. Thank you Honda!

Bike clearly a lot of drag
Not at all. The goldwings fairing actually gives it a really low drag coefficient for a motorcycle. Goldwings have a top speed limiter somewhere around 180 kph. That’s the reason the bike in the video stopped accelerating

I think it's appropriate for what it is. I don't think it's meant to go faster than that, It's a touring bike after all.

Psaná 5,4 l/100 km. Když jsem motorku přebíral, byl tam průměr za 3.500 km 5,9. Já najel něco přes 1.500 km a celkový průměr klesl na 5,8. Těch 5,4 nepovažuji za nedosažitelnou hodnotu 👍

@@martinsobolik Jasně, máš pravdu! Teď jsem se vrátil z Německa z měření maximálky na novém Hornetu 750, který váží 190 kg a za necelých 400 km tam počítač ukazuje taky kolem 5,4 (ale byla tam v tom jízda maximálkou po německé dálnici, což tu spotřebu hodně navýší)! Jinak se do 5 s lehkým zápěstím dá jezdit.

his bike is limited to ~180 kph. all modern gold wings are. It’s just the ECU limiting the speed just like the rebel 1100 is limited to 160 kph

Not so fast ... BMW K1600 much faster...
goldwings have an electronic limiter around 180 kph. That’s the reason their top speed is so low for their power level. Also, I don’t think anyone seriously considering a goldwing is actually seriously considering a K1600. Despite both being large displacement motorcycles, both bikes are meant for completely different types of riding.
@@youridv You`re right. Top speed is not so important compare with this revel. I have a K1600 now, but I m thinking buy GL1800. Riding a big bike makes want an bigger bike.haha(^^♪
