- Bargain Perennials from Home Depot!
Today I lucked out and found a decent selection of perennials on sale for $3. So I picked through them and found a few to add to my garden. They definitely need some TLC.

@@creatingmygarden I am doing much better. Thank you. My husband had Lyme at the same time, and has now developed a terrible ear infection and Bells Palsy. We spent yesterday in the emergency room. I have to stay healthy to care for him as he is facing a long recovery. We are hoping for the best.

@@MindysPlace ticks are bad this year just pulled a large one off Matilda’s foot we though it was the pad of her foot it looked funny so got ahold her and I removed it
Nice to see the sales on perennials. I got that mandarin orange 🍊 honeysuckle last year and got my first bloom this year , it’s so pretty! I did notice the stems are very weak and break off easily; makes it tricky to train it.
Yah I don’t like it when the stems are weak I think I have one around the gazebo and had the same issue it hasn’t done much this year here’s hoping
I don't grow the rhododendrons either. I've tried 3 times to grow butterfly bush but they won't overwinter for me in my zone 5b. Happy Canada Day Jacqueline! Bonny
Yes I planted Butterfly Bush one year it grew beautifully but didn’t survive so disappointed haven’t seen it for sale here since.
If I didn't look at the upload date I'd think you were shopping in late May as there's so much selection. I'm in Toronto and most of the stores are pretty empty.
I'm actually heading off to Home Depot in a bit to see what's left.

Nope it was this past weekend. Our Home Depot is full and usually is all Summer. I will do one of these videos again if I find some more bargains. I seem to end up doing these videos a good 3 times a summer and usually last one is around August September for gathering plants for fall designs.
@@creatingmygarden Although my Home Depot has been restocked there wasn't much available in the way of markdowns I was interested in. I just got 2 large hanging geranium pots for $5 each. I keep my geraniums indoors over winter so that was a good find.

@Bons_Eye that’s a decent price on the geraniums. We may have more stock to cause we are so late to the party being zone 3B. So maybe that is a benefit.

Thanks finally got a few deals. Need to check pretty much every week or so to see what their clearing out.
Great finds on the perrenial plants Jacqueline. I would really like to see how you prune and plant these then later in the season a follow up on their progress.
