Get one. I have a 2008 Saab 9-3 V6 Aero as my first car. I've put on Borla Atak performance mufflers and a resonator delete with my exhaust tips pushed out past the bumper. It sounds sooooo good. Very deep tone to it, same tone if not a bit deeper than Autopsy's TurboX.

Saab turbos are the best. Almost zero lag...and that boost. 3rd gear pulls in both my Aeros...ok, ones a true Aero, the other is a 9-5 Linear with Aero engine/ECU swap... But anyway, 3rd gear pulls..when you hit into the red, you feel that car pull like a train. It's an amazing feeling
I recently bought a 2008 9-3 aero XWD and want a muffler delete. Will I have to get a tune due to less back pressure? If I don't will it hurt the turbo or the engine? It has a slightly upgraded aftermarket exhaust but still has cats and mufflers and everything.
I want to say I have a 2002 saab 95 areo and I being have a lot of problems with the car. The biggest one is that it turns off randomly even when I'm driving it and when it turns off all thr lights on the dash turn on and sometimes it starts clicking rapidly. HELP please?
Most likely problem is a dying Crank Position Sensor (CPS). When they go, there's no check engine light and when the engine is warm it won't start. It will start again when the engine cools off though. When the cps goes, the car can't figure out the ignition timing, or fuel/air ratio/timing and it freaks out and shuts down. Generally, if your DIC (Direct Ignition Cassette) is so gone that the car is shutting off, you should have a check engine light). If It's neither of these, ot could also be a bad ground wire to the thermostat housing. It's one of the grounds that actually feeds the ECU (Engine Control Unit, aka Engine Computer).

@@tcallday3867 Sounds like CPS to me. It's an inexpensive part. It's just a sensor that monitors the rotation of the crank shaft. My 9-3 ss had one go bad. Locked me out of 1st and 4th gear. Trans light and cel came on. Replaced it and never had an issue again. Tcs light and stability control bugged out too until I replaced the cps.
This reminds me a little bit of my dads 4.3 Gmc sonoma sls, only higher revving. Despite the high mileage, remap and straight pipe your exhausts seem very clean, there is no smoke when flooring it and exhaust tips not black, my saab has a little problem with that.
The tips on the inside are black on the bottom (check the video), but lord knows if they’ve ever been cleaned. I think I might do that in an upcoming video!

Would also go for a full straight pipe and decat, maybe titanium downpipes and then an ignition cut launch control for the tune with a nice simple stage 1 at first. With the intake and probably aftermarket engine stuff like injectors etc

That's a great job but you understand that if you removed the cat that you are off-road right? I mean you are running an illegal car on the road. And you're advertising that to the world which means you're incriminating yourself. This is not "hate" comment, I'm just trying to point out that somebody is going to see this and you may have to correct it.
joel lofquist you're right some states don't require emissions testing, but the EPA makes removing a functional cat illegal so it's against federal law unless you're using the car for off road use like road racing or autocross, or something like that.

I love my 2.8 Aero. Loud n Proud! Probably the best sounding V6 I've ever heard. Even nicer than a VG or VQ V6.

Yes. "Tuning by MPS" does a great job with mail order tunes and they work. I have a stage 3 from Mike. Go to FB and search, you will find.

Check the ignition cartridge. If it stalls at lights, this is the pat you need.

Auto Autopsy I installed a boost gauge on my 9-3 Aero 2.8, I’m making 11 psi of boost, mine is the XWD platform. I wonder what yours runs.
