    Which reel you going with?

    I don't know anything about Runcl but I own a Kastking Royal Legend Elite baitcaster. Been using it as my main workhorse reel for a year now and it's been fantastic. Also been using the Kastking Pond Hopper as my main bank fishing tackle bag for a few years and it's barely showing any wear, and I use it almost every day. Very happy with Kastking brand stuff so far.

      "Royal Legend Elite." With a name like that, it better be good.

    I have kk Sharky baitfeeder reels in 3000 and 5000. I also have a regular sharky in 3000. My sons use them. I also use the 5000 for surf fishing while on vacation. They are nice for the price. Have caught some nice fish on em.

    Budget wise, I would go with Kastking, but for $50-$60, you can go with a Pflueger President.

    I've heard more good than bad about kast king reels. Havent heard anything on the other brand. I use diawa, shimano, mitchell, and lews spinning reels. You can get decent to great reels from all at a cheap price. All I have is cheaper than both those lol only reel I have in those price ranges is a penn 4000 and is a much heavier setup.

    I got a run l bait caster and I use it way more than I thought I would. If you’re looking for some knock around reels they’ll operate well!

    casting... you should swap the reals on those rods and see if your opinion changes. cause the rod can play into some of those factors. do it.. I'm curious now.

      Rod, line type and line brand is the only thing I've ever seen change the casting on a spinning reel. Cheap to more expensive have all casting well for me with the rod and line setup well. The smoothness in the reel, drag, and material quality changes with cheap to mid level is all the difference I've experienced.

    You should do a review on the Shimano nexaves, they just released updated models at Icast for $49

    You mainly forgot about one thing about a super budget real real that you have there 1is Good for salt water and the other 1 is good for freshwater What do you plan to use it for And which one do you prefer To use for you Me myself I prefer using a saltwater style one because the durability that it has Use it in fresh and in salt water That is me all depends on what you like

  • @joshschwerin6783
    @joshschwerin6783 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Piscifun is my preference didn’t care for either of my kastkings

    I would rather go with a name brand like dwaia,penn,Shimano,lews cause I’ve had a kast king to light for me just snap the frame but idk.

    KastKing- 2 rover 50’s sharky 3 3000 4000 6000 a Kastking Mako 2500 that is my favorite. Handles on the sharky3 4 and 6 k a bit bendy. Incredibly smooth tho and saltwater use 3 seasons.

  • @christophershoe9642
    @christophershoe9642 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Definitely not the Kastking, you could use it as an anchor if you want. The winner of this competition should go up against the Okuma Avenger. Lew's, Abu Garcia, Okuma, but, never, I say never....a Kastking.

      @peter kerns yes, I have used Kastking reels, and I still think they're better used as ornaments or anchors.

    I'm curious to see how the Runcl compares to the Kastking Megaton. They seem like pretty similar designs. Also priced similarly.
    I have a Megatron and it's pretty solid,but I hate the knob that comes with it & spent another $20 to replace it with a larger more comfortable one.

      I’ve had 4k 6 k sharky 3 bait feeders. 3 seasons in saltwater and no issues. Handles flex a bit though.

    Runcl price is too close to Daiwa Revros. All things equal I will go with the Daiwa. I must say, I did buy a Kastking Sharky (two actually) and it is a tank!

    I have a couple Runcl's they actually kinda surprised me they're great little workhorse reels. Even the baitcasters are pretty solid just usually set my brakes higher than I would on my other reels.

    • @aaanglers
      @aaanglers  3 ปีที่แล้ว
