If I make macaroni cheese, it will have crispy lardons, onions and (a hint of) garlic. Sliced tomatoes on top, before browning.
This looked alright for the price, though.✌

Love these meals in sainsburys , they also do the potato wedges and hunters chicken that's really nice. I'm the same tho love classic mac n cheese .
Not had Hunter's chicken for a while, might have to get reinvolved...

Grate a load of strong cheddar over the top and wack in air fryer for 3/4 mins and it's a game changer.

Fantastic find there paps, what good value for the heaps of deliciousness, something that you would not expect pricewise from sainsbury's.

My least favourite foods, mac n cheese and bbq pulled pork.
Combined to be double disastrous. I feel ill just thinking about it.
Luckily for you this meal was pleasant and not overly sickly sweet with bbq sauce.
It would probably make a decent pizza topping, spread liberally and sprinkled with mozzarella. Only one way to find out... Don't forget the pineapple!
I scored myself a roast pork from the deli yesterday afternoon. Normally $21, but the rules are after 3 hrs the roast beef, pork and chicken must be reduced to half price for a quick sale. I paid $10.50

I'm not a fan of bbq pork either mate but this thing wasn't overly sweet. As ever, impressed with your haul :)
Love some good mac and cheese with your own chedder cheese chucked in but im not sure mixing it with bbq pork, maybe separately ? I agree pap you cant beat original mac and cheese on its own

Another excellent review here on this Sainsbury's product - it sounds to be cooked perfectly and it looks ok - personally I am not a fan of Mac n Cheese so wont be trying it but thank you for bringing it to our attention ! have a great afternoon mate :-)

I think I would rather have regular mac & cheese with some BBQ pulled pork separately. The colour of the sauce puts me off a bit. But a fair effort by Sainsbury's. Nice one Pappa 👍

Why can't the local Morrisons have this type of mac & cheese in stock. I would actually buy this pap, there's no blooming Sainsbury's near me. It does look yummy 😋.

I have never had pulled pork or pulled whatever animal does it not mean chewy old pig cooked for a long time to make it tender. I might try this next time I'm in Sainsbury's as it is my favourite supermarket out of all the major players and they don't tend to put there name to crap unlike those with the clubcard.

Well if I had a night to myself, this and a dollop of Franks Red Hot and extra cheese maybe, I dunno it's one of those "I have to be in the mood for" My appetite has been shocking recently to be fair.
Your additions sound good, and you're not the first person to tell me about your lack of appetite strangely.
Put two of these 400g portions in a box Sainsbury's and I'll buy them for £2.

@Papparoni - Ha you are pleading poverty after shopping at M&S a few times.... The price for that Sainsbury's Ready Meal is very reasonable for people into ping meals.

(57) Not for me, sorry. I like mac & cheese with added stuff, like ham or spinach or tomatoes, etc. But I think pulled pork (especially with BBQ sauce) belongs on a fresh, buttered bun with coleslaw.

I don't get it. These companies just add whatever to "mac and cheese". In the South (United States), you would simply have a pulled pork sandwich with a side of macaroni and cheese. Even though you're eating it all, there is no reason to combine them.
Pap! You've strayed away from your usual musical interludes. Instead of playing the songs, you now just play the melody (lyric parts). What changed?
I would prefer the two seperate as well mate. As for the music, it depends on what free scores I can find, sometimes it's the lyrics bit, sometimes other bits.
A fairly decent £2.00 price tag there for the 400g Sainsbury's Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese ready meal Papp... But even better if you have the Nectar rewards price of £1.75... Although this product isn't for me i'm afraid pal... As i think I've mentioned on here before... That after having a tin of Heinz Macaroni Cheese a few years ago... It really turned my stomach... And even now... Just the thought of having Macaroni Cheese in any form... Makes me gag my friend... 🤢 Plus i'm not a huge fan of the Sweet Barbecue Sauce either pal... However... A few years ago i used to buy from Iceland... A tinned product of... Can Cook Smoky BBQ Pulled Pork 340g... It came in a brightly coloured turquoise pear shaped tin... Other supermarkets like Tesco and Sainsbury's... Also stocked this same tinned brand of Smoky BBQ Pulled Pork... And i believe it was priced at or around the £2.00 mark if i remember correctly... But it tasted absolutely delicious Papp... It could also be eaten either hot or cold straight from the tin too... And the Barbecue Sauce in it... Wasn't overly sweet either.
But the smokiness of the Pulled Pork was so good... That it must have masked most of the unwanted overly sweetness that i personally don't like... But after buying it regularly for several years... All of a sudden it disappeared from the supermarket shelves... No notice!... It was just gone forever... I really wish that it was still around today though... But after the credit crunch... I highly doubt that it would still be at around the £2.00 price mark... You could probably add on at least another quid per tin if it was still around these days... I'm really looking forward to my evening meal tonight Papp... As i'm having one of my favourite meals... A bag of my regular Whitby Seafoods Scampi 370g for £4.50... I'm having the whole bag just on it's own... With a decent splash of Malt Vinegar and Salt only... And i can't wait my friend...
