Darn it you got me crying in the middle of the day! Seen this promoted at a Harkin's movie theater while waiting to see A Quiet Place - Day One. This is well done. 👏
Great work from my brother, Carl Jones, and his new production co. MARTIANBLUEBERRY is making his way to the top. It should be shown in all Walmart stores, not just TH-cam!!!
I truly love this. It’s silly that our nation needs this type of over the top positive message to mobilize our FATHERS into FATHERHOOD, but if it helps one dad step up to the plate, then I’m all for it 😊
I got this link for my brother, and I didn’t know what to think about it at first. But after watching it, I am impressed. I don’t usually support dabbling in identity and social topics, but they pulled off an encouraging, inspirational, and creative message on fatherhood. It’s worth celebrating because I believe that as the father goes, so goes the household, and as the household goes, so goes the nation. Bravo to the makers of this message!
I'm glad to see Walmart pushing for more Dads to stay and raise their kids. I'm not sure if I would have called out black Dads like you did. Shouldn't all Dads raise their kids? Regardless, it is a hot-button topic so very brave of a big company to make that stand like this.
1) It's from the Creator of the "Boondocks" series... So Walmart didn't create it... And; 2) It's a response to the false negative stereotypes and image that has been spread Black Fathers not being present in their kids' lives... This cartoon represents me... More than any media creation ever has... I don't know why y'all get so bothered by a positive light shining on Black men when you and I both know what they say about Black men as a whole...
The notion of realistically stopping their kids from screaming and whining from entitlement is only one level of fantasy in this video. Every situation on every level in this is fantastic. You notice the positive comments are lauding Walmart for their positive representation of black dads. No one is claiming it's anywhere close to accurate (superhero nonsense notwithstanding).
The superhero aspect is an obvious exaggeration and not meant to be taken literally … it’s simply a fun way to counteract the negative and inaccurate stereotypes typical in the portrayal of black fathers. That is definitely a message worth supporting.
This is nice, true it doesn't cover many of the strains of life, but it's meant to be a bit of a wake-up call. There are many young men who don't know how to be responsible to a family mainly because they've never been taught how. With families torn apart for various reasons and fathers too young to make adult decisions, they often complain about their fathers not being there, and they just do the same thing over and over again. The example needs to be set by men who've had families that stayed together. Single mother's take your young men to church and get them around successfull men or if possible, get around good men in the family that make good and right decisions to keep the family together. Iron sharpens iron in the family, and the same goes for the girls in the family. It's more than cooking and cleaning to keep a family together. Womanhood is special to keeping a family together. Society has done so much to tare the families apart and it's time , I mean pass time ,t o put the interest back into the family bond. Family breakups affects everyone involved. Just a thought🎉
I guess I've been sleeping on Walmart's TH-cam channel. Saw this after the kids back to school video, and I'm subscribing. Won me over with this one, though ❤️
I love how they're trying to be inclusive by having it be about black dads and families. But also pushes the stereotype that black people are always the ones with deadbeat dads😂then again it's usually true.
They're black, ain't no good representation there. Also the fact that they're black fathers who are actually there for their kids which compared to real life situations is completely incorrect
@@johndong7524 I can look it up, but you made the claim. When you make a claim with out factual evidence to back it up and someone asks you to provide that evidence the worst answer to give is 'look it up' and 'accept reality'. that tells me you don't have any proof to back up your claim.
Now with that said, do you have a peer reviewed source that proves the statistic you gave is factual and accurate. Save me your opinion and your emotions. You could be correct, and you could be wrong; however without factual evidence it's merely an opinion.
Well let me be the one to reply and say you're wrong, I have 8 children and I've been there for everyone of mine. I think it was a wonderful and positive cartoon short that brings much needed recognition to the dads in our community. You just salty because you're not black. 😂 You and your white (or whatever ethnicity you are) fragility can go sit in the corner.

Yep. When you got it like that. It work is just work. My Family is why I work. My time is My own. And my kids are my life. legacy. Love. When I leave this planet, Idgaf what happens to my Job. The most inaccurate misrepresentation of a demographic in the last 50 years. Were it accurate, they would be missing; either having left a note: "Gone to get milk and cigarettes" if that, or in prison for thuggish behavior, or just gone without a trace. 😂😂. When I saw this at Walmart today, I had to hold back my laughter. Too funny 🤣🤣
