    Very well done. Ardex products look ideal, will give them a try. What brand LVT glue down is the floor?

    • @ARDEXUK

      The LVT is Universal by Distinctive Flooring (3" x 12" parquet tile in latte) 😊

    The video was very detailed, clear and informative thanks. And after watching, it raised a couple of questions for me to clarify:
    Firstly, I understand that LVT can be laid in a herringbone pattern, but I have recently been informed that only if it's a 'glue down or loose lay product'. And LVT that has a 'click and lock' mechanism on the sides will not work in a herringbone pattern because it can't click together properly and therefore will be compromised/fail?
    Secondly, I was also informed to lay 'click' LVT existing skirting need to be removed due prior to fitting if architrave isn't wanted?
    Just needed some clear clarification around both points. Thanks

    Good gracious!! THAT’S a LOT of work.
    What is the appx
    cost for this? Time from start-finish?
    Not my style, but it looks great!

      We had the easy part filming it :) This project took just over 2 days. There was quite a bit of prep work to get the floor ready for levelling and fitting.

    How do you set out the masking tape for the edges of the glue? I’m a novice diyer and on a previous job I spread the glue slightly too wide and because I’m slow, when I installed the next row the glue overspill had hardened and the planks didn’t sit flush. Are there any tips to stop this happening other than speed up?! Thanks

    I couldn’t quite work out if this a parody. Talk about putting people off… I think you missed out the stage where you use unicorn tears to add a true super non slip lump free glacier anti gravity mesh flow to the floor.

    Anyone know where I can get one of those black covers that goes on top of the bucket when they are screeding to stop the screed from going everywhere at 7:26 on the video

  • @greenreaper1985

    Getting a floor to SR1? Youve got to be joking. You would have to have a pretty special initial screed to get close to that.....either that or a blank check to go and buy levelling compound with

    Nice job , do you prime over the feather finish or is it not needed??

    • @ARDEXUK
      @ARDEXUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you 🙏 There’s no need to prime over Feather Finish 👍

    Can you stick them down straight on to porcelain or ceramic tiles? Thanks

    • @ARDEXUK
      @ARDEXUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      We would recommend to pre-smooth the tiles with ARDITEX NA before installing the LVT 👌

    If your going to spend that much time on prep take the baseboards off and trim the doorways so you have an adequate expansion gap.

    • @ell6826
      @ell6826 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You don’t need an expansion gap for glue down LVT?

    • @danielboard7097
      @danielboard7097 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lvt doesn’t expand

    It's like they have just learned how to prep from floorskills or something..
    Brand new buckets ,brand new brush, brand new roller..😂
    Screeding trowel looks nice and shiny too..
    That ardex gear is ok.
    We use na as it's bullet proof.
    But it's all good..
    Use half a sanding disc from you sander for feather..works a treat, rather than that sandpaper
    And that ardex adhesive is the worst I've ever used..
    We get it free, with a pallet of na.
    And give it away..
    Btw....is Darren robo still at ardex..🤔

    • @ARDEXUK
      @ARDEXUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you love NA but sorry you don’t like our adhesive 😞 What don’t you like about it?

    • @antonytheolddog8626
      @antonytheolddog8626 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ARDEXUK Honestly, 33 years I've been at it.
      I'm still learning always, never profess to know it all.
      Just so that's clear, I have no ego but I am good at what I do...
      Your adhesive, the PS, we got a few tubs free with a pallet of na.
      I tried to like it, even did my kitchen with it.
      The main gripe is that if you have to reposition a plank or tile for whatever reason. It peels the whole lot up from the feather.
      Maybe the HT is better, I don't know.
      But it was just difficult to use.
      We use balls for the most part and never have any issues.
      Their HT is fibre reinforced,like others and good enough.
      And the ps is spot on.
      But anything else we use from ardex is spot on.
      Feather , na, ardurapid the lot.
      👍🏻
