Rerez you kill me
Rerez look, im worried about you. Your drinking has gotten way out of hand. You almost finished those 3 ounces of beer, and had you done that your BAC would have been 4.06 and you would have killed someone in a drunk driving accident. It doesnt matter whether or not you even came near a car, just sitting on your couch you could have killed a family of four on their way to church with your reckless drinking. Not only that but you took advantage of me. I kept saying no but you were a monster. In theory.
Rerez do the dreamgear myarcade portable 220. It's what my brother got for Christmas and it's awful
Pay close attention -- it was some kind of Canadian root beer.
I'm considering this rerez the movie
TV Toni or "Rerez: The Flarrowverse Episode"
MegaBites456 ah
Great idea! Next thing, naturally, would be having LJN to make an even greater video-game out of the movie, like they always do!!
I say it's Oscar worthy.
TV Toni Rerez the Begining, best movie ever, excited for the sequel movie Rerez the worst of the worst
"Well I don't see any Apples. Or Chess. So why's it called Apple Chess?" I lost it there. lol
RGT 85 what is the song playing during Apple chess lol
ThatOneGuitarGuy 98 Bootleggers are mostly bad.
Reversi the game is also known as Othello.
Maybe it's a Chess Game *Made By Apple Computers* and Ported 2 This. XD
LadyAmalthea TheLastUnicorn Agreed
OMG.
This is like, the fifteenth time I've watched this video and I may have FINALLY figured out Toy Factory.
It seems that when you have the REGULAR coloured balls, they go into the appropriate coloured bin with a circle on it.
However, there's another bin with a "recycle" sign on it, and there's only one; a red bin. It would seem the bombs and clocks BOTH go into the recycle bin despite having different colours. They're already fully-made objects so they don't get put in with the regular balls.
Thanks???
I discovered that the 2nd time

I like it too It funny I kinda felt bad for Shane
My favorite videos on this channel all have that in common 😄
They make these consoles just to torture him 😂
My father just got me this for christmas.
He saw it and thought: "200 Games for 20 bucks? That's great!"
And then you have my mother who got me the NES mini and even she shook her head when she saw this abomination my father got me.
I've experienced this thing myself and can confirm, that this may be one of the worst consoles ever.
Ouch
Man, I feel really bad for your dad. I can just imagine what he was thinking, all these games in one package that you can play. I betcha he was thinking that it would be an awesome gift. :(
@@HappyMan0203 yeah...

Funny thing, the aliens getting faster in Space Invaders was originally a bug, but the game's creator decided to keep it in since it made the game more challenging!
Ed Kolis That's why it was so popular, it actually had a challenge.
Yep! The programmer didn't take into account that the hardware would run slower rendering a bunch of aliens as opposed to 1. But the game would've been really boring if they had stayed the same speed the whole time, so he kept it in.
Stormspark
And somehow, this is bug evolved into things that no sane human would attempt without a very personal reason....like ‘50/20 mode’ in FNAF, ‘Ultra Nightmare’ from Doom, naming yourself ‘Frisk’ in Undertale, and ‘Full Volume Headphones’ from Rerez.

@@flyingfish1138 Hello for the firsr time
i'm wondering why they even added mice in a card game XD
19:17 in Russia, we call this game "Пьяница" - "drunkard"*.
Our name suits this game WAY better than "war", war is about team cooperation, discipline, tactic and strategy, all the things that this card game dont have.
*drunCARD would be a perfect name.
"1917." coincidence or not?
its fucking Russia, doesnt get me surprised if it not related to alcohol
This is what happens leaders control vodka plants
I agree that "war" is not a good name for this game, but why is "drunkard" better? Spelling it drunCARD is clever, but only if "drunkard" already makes sense

Toad In The Hole is actually an English comfort food made from leftovers from a roast dinner. You put leftover meat (typically sausages) into Yorkshire Pudding batter and bake it. Pour leftover gravy on top and serve.
It's actually nicer than it sounds, unlike the game on this system, which has nothing to do with the food.
Sounds better than the american one too, I am not gonna lie.

REREZ: The Movie: Worst Plug and Play Console ever 2
15:27 The transition and reviews of “Apple Chess” to “Hit-Mouse” that Rerez did had me dying of laughter.
you sir have just won my subscription with this huge dedication and excellent quality
25:28 Actually, interestingly enough, that IS an automated thing that just would've happened. I can confirm this as a romhacker, it's like Mario and Luigi; being the exact same sprite, just recoloured.
That's pretty neat
But didn't someone have to manually program it to be blue?
@@nthgth
As Naru Y said, the original game does program Player 2 to be blue wherever Player 1 is red, and the sprite data controls which color within whatever palette is used gets used on each pixel. Now, I’d have to look at the other colors besides blue and red used to be sure that they also match up, but it’s entirely plausible that they didn’t do anything to even change the palette for Player 1, just the sprite data itself, in which case the palette swap for Player 2 should give the same results.
@@bhull242 So basically, it's something like this?
Var_P1_Color = F00;
Var_P2_Color = (Var_P1_Color - E10);
End;
@@ZenoDLC
I mean, kinda? But not exactly.
The way old 8- and 16-bit games worked, you basically programmed multiple palettes of colors, and then the sprite data would say which color of a palette to use, but not which palette. So, when displayed on screen, the game would tell the console what sprite and palette to display.
To save on memory and development costs, a lot of games would use the exact same sprite data for two things (often players 1 and 2) but switch up the palette.
So, it’d be like a color-by-number thing, but there are only 7 numbers plus a no-fill option, and then which colors to use for each number is the palette. In this case, for example, color 1 on player 1’s palette is could be red, while it’s blue on player 2’s palette.
46:56 Ive played Frantic Mouse before on another 88 games in 1 when I was a kid. I got so frustrated I never played it, until I figured out if you jump just before the cloud hits the sides and changes direction, you can time it right. So the cloud itself is not glitched, it’s just the path.

20:17
I actually think they have a reason they didn’t use the mice sprites for “Hit-Mouse”.
*If they used the sprites, then they couldn’t have passed it off as Toad In The Hole.*
Strategy can be used in weird and hidden ways sometimes, but it can still be used in such a fashion.

Fun Fact: Space Invader became faster and faster when you shot enemies because at the start the console had some trouble with all the stuff on the screen and it was completely unintentionall that it got faster
I honestly looked through the console to see this very comment. Yes, the processor had problems dealing with the sprites on the screen so as you killed them it got faster and faster. But perhaps that's only to lie they feed us and they knew about it but programmed so many so that it WOULD slow down, eh?
I thought it was intended
First Defender is actually a hack of a Space Invaders clone called Space Armada for the Intellivision. Even that version had the enemies speed up as their numbers decreased, which they forgot to program here.
Dont steal others comments, especially if it is near the top
@@danimorgan6669
Actually, I looked at the specs and the code for the original arcade, and from what I can tell, it really was that inefficient at handling that many sprites at one time. And by that many, I do mean that it would, in fact, still experience noticeable slowdown when you’re down to just your ship, two enemies, that UFO that sometimes appears, the HUD, and the obstacles as the only things on screen (though the only things slowing down would be the two enemies due to the way the code works), and that slowdown would in fact noticeably increase for every additional sprite. If you took the exact same code from the original and had it work with different processors that wouldn’t clog up so easily, so to speak, then the game would actually play at that incredibly high speed the entire time. And, in fact, later versions actually had to specifically code in that the number of enemy ships left will change the speed at which those enemies will move, and neither that code nor anything similar is in the original. There is nothing in the code that explicitly says to adjust the speed of the ships at all under any conditions.
To make it short (and yes, this is an oversimplification, but it gets the idea across), basically there were six things that were handled at any given time, each of which would get treated as a single packet: 1) your ship, 2) the obstacles, 3) the HUD, 4) the randomly appearing UFO, 5) projectiles, and 6) the other enemy ships. Each of these six get handled separately and don’t interfere with each other, which is why the speed of your ship, the projectiles, and the UFO remain constant regardless of the number of ships displayed, and why the number of projectiles, what remains of the obstacles, and the UFO don’t affect the speed of the enemy ships. Essentially, each one gets its own pipeline more or less. However, of these, only the enemy-ships process has to handle multiple moving, animated, relatively complex/large sprites (the projectiles one only handles, like, maybe one enemy projectile at a time and some of your projectiles, and they’re very small and simple to draw to the screen so don’t take much processing power; the UFO and player ones only handle one sprite each; and the others don’t involve any actual animations or motion), so it easily gets clogged when there’s more than one of them.
It actually would have been possible to reprogram the game to avoid or mitigate this “issue” (the code used to handle the enemy ship sprites is very inefficient and could easily be improved for better efficiency), but the dev decided not to bother for whatever reason. To be fair, the machine he was using to develop the game appears to have been much faster than the target machinery in the actual arcade machine, so this was likely only caught late in development and was determined not to be worth bothering with. It is possible that the speed was tweaked to account for this so that way it doesn’t get unbearably slow with all the ships and that the original code prerelease that they had when they discovered this wouldn’t have had the single ship go as fast as it does in the final release of the original arcade (I haven’t really investigated that possibility), but everything else was left essentially as-is. And while some games did involve making use of hardware quirks to do certain things that couldn’t really be done with explicit code having the hardware work as intended (like Vib-Ribbon being able to use music from actual audio CDs to create custom stages, so to speak, Rare’s idea for the stop-and-swap thing for Banjo-Kazooey and Banjo-Tooey, many unlicensed games, and a lot of the things that Traveler’s Tales was able to do, especially for the Sega Genesis, Amiga, and Sonic R games), this doesn’t really involve using crazy workarounds to circumvent hardware limitations or using code that appears specifically designed to do something odd; the code underlying the original arcade Space Invaders is very simple, and each design decision within the code has an obvious logical purpose without the slowdown. There is nothing to indicate that the slowdown was intended as a feature when the game was first programmed.
And it’s not like bugs-becoming-features is particularly unusual, especially for early games. Many people are familiar with the similar story about Street Fighter II’s combo system, which we actually have documentation for the fact that it was discovered during development and left in because the devs thought that essentially no human being would be actually capable of pulling such things off in an actual game without special tools (which they were so very, very wrong about, of course).
And technically Pong’s simplicity is also similar; the original version released was just a working prototype or proof-of-concept to demonstrate the basic idea to Atari’s execs, both in terms of hardware (which was basically a cardboard box with a TV screen, a very basic motherboard, and a basic, simple controller that only allowed movement in two directions and that’s it, all metaphorically and/or literally duct-taped together) and software (which, even for its time, was incredibly simple, with the most complicated things being translating the movement of the controller into repositioning one of the paddles (yeah, not exactly complicated there) and a very rudimentary AI for the other paddle. The guy who made and presented it had absolutely no intention or expectation of having any consumers so much as even see this original model, let alone actually play it; he was just presenting a first draft, maybe not even that, in order to show that the project could work so that it could continue into something a bit more advanced. Atari execs were so thrilled with the prototype they were presented with (and yet also unwilling to waste any more time or money on making improvements to it) that they actually took the prototype and had it walked to a nearby store for people to play it. That’s right: the original Pong arcade machine ever played by actual consumers was actually the first working model ever produced, period; it wasn’t the result of mass production or anything. They started mass-production of the machine _after_ that prototype was already available to the public, and while there were obviously _some_ changes made to the hardware (or at least the externals) to better facilitate mass-production and transportation of the machine across the country, the actual, functional components and the software were completely unchanged from the prototype. It was essentially still in the alpha stage of production when released: functional, but not intended for full on play-testing. It had also been made in less than a week. This whole thing of releasing an unfinished game against all reason has been a common theme for Atari, no matter how many times its leadership and employees have changed; it’s just about the only constant besides setting unrealistic deadlines and refusing to deviate at all (like with ET for the Atari 2600). The same things happened with the Atari 2600 port of Pac-Man and Driv3r, among oh so many others. Occasionally, like with Pong, it ended up paying off. Other times, it very much did not. And actually, even with Pong, it didn’t work out quite as well as it could have for them because it was both so simple (it has very, very little copyrightable elements) and so rushed (as they made it publicly available before doing any of the legal paperwork to register the copyright, trademark, or patent or anything like that) that other companies could and in fact did make their own identical or near-identical copies of Pong without any sort of licensing from Atari or anything and without fear of legal problems like copyright infringement.
*This is my fourth time watching it, and the Tennis theme gets me every time.*
LOOOOOOOOK AT THE SCREEEN!!
+Maruko Chan 99 IS THAT A MOUSE!?
Hector Rodriguez NOOO! IT'S A MOLE!!

I bought this console for my brother this christmas, I couldnt stop laughing when he reached Magic Jony
27:26 look at the speed counter he is not going fast enough to squeak the tires.
52 minutes! WOW! That's dedication!
Mars Aguilar Very true. The only plug and plays that are worth playing are the Namco and Atari ones.
Mars Aguilar I don't even know if that's good or not. I've never had that system in my possession. In fact, every time I would go to Gamestop or other stores that sell the NES classic they would say that it's sold out. None of my friends had the system either. The only chance you have of getting that system is to go on Amazon or Ebay and pay out of your ass in order to get one. The cheapest the NES Classic is going for online is 300 dollars. That's the full price of an Xbox one or PS4.
Mars Aguilar Yeah, I'm not bummed out over this anymore. I used to be a couple months ago. I hope the SNES Classic is a real thing because that's my favorite system to play on. I don't know why Nintendo sends out such a tiny stock when they know that fans will immediately grab for their wallets and buy the system right away regardless of what it is.
Mars Aguilar Retro gaming has a huge following now. Ever since the year 2000 there has been a huge following for retro games and consoles. I didn't like Super Punch-Out all that much on the SNES because of the perspective of your boxer. That always tripped me up. When Nintendo came out with Punch-Out Wii I was super happy because it was like the NES game but very much improved graphically and gameplay wise.
Mars Aguilar I'm going to have to play Super Punch-Out on my SNES again to see if I can get any better at it. The only thing that makes the game hard for me is your opponents sometimes never give you a warning/sign on if their punches are coming. On the NES you could tell if punches were coming. In the world circuit is where the game really tests how good you are.
"Fish cannot FLY!"
On the contrary, my good friend, SOME fish are in existence to fly. It just never so happens that these type of "Flying Fish" are made for airborne dynamics and such. They just simply "hop" and "glide" from the ocean's surface.
Peter Griffin r/explainitpeter
I've seen flying fish, it's more of an extended glide really, but one thing they do not do is drop bombs on submarines! LOL
Flying fish are cool, they keep you on your toes.
GOT HIM!
30:01 "Tim Burton's _the Powerpuff Girls"_ ... Begrudgingly, I admit I would go see that

"Game on"
"game on!"
...
"Car!"
The souless eyes were because either the dog's eyes are the same color as the fur, or because the NES only handles 3 colors per sprite.
Also, the blue balloon fighter actually WAS automated. It's still using the same sprites for Player 1, but the color palette is swapped. Same goes for Luigi in SMB 1 and 3.
Alex Parr only 3 colors per sprite on NES I'd say, though it could be both.
Or because they didn’t add eyeballs dumb dumb
@@misteralien9958 no, the NES couldn't handlenitt
Before I even watched the video I can say you put more effort in this video than the creators of the product itself.
Saktuscactus IKR!!
Haha, I remember going to a friend's apartment a while back, this was the only console he had... I was surprised that even for a plug and play, it didn't at least have any classic title roms or romhacks of them.
So, this thing got sticker swapped and reselled to another stores as the *WonderGames200* or *EBox200* but the games never change
I used to have this, or something exactly like it. One of the games literally would say "Claer" when you would win
UFO Race had Scroe instead of Score.

If you have any anecdotes, feel free to tell me.
Games with crazy typos in them? AWESMOE!
39:17 That's an actual game. People used to (and sometimes still do) play it on paper.
This lad diving into madness while playing these criminal games is the most entertaining stuff on TH-cam, I swear, man!
16:04 It was already common knowledge by 240 BC that the Earth was round. Eratosthenes was already attempting to find the circumference of the Earth
The game you said was the helicopter one at 19:00 was just pokemon emerald without people and props
What even was it trying to be on this system, though?
@@crazyluigi6664 helicopter emerald version. I think
Technically its Ruby and Sapphire's sprites as Emerald is the enhanced version
UFO Race: Gotta get that high SCROE!
When you see it! Bam!
Im up at 1 AM dying of laughter over hit mouse while trying not to wake up the whole house. Amazing video.
My mom saw this at my local CVS and thought of getting it for me, warned her with this video. Thanks Rerez 👍
Do a review on the Game Com!
+JustubWalterVariety. Would you be willing to donate him one along with some games?
Justin Walters Variety he really should
"FIRST STYLUS HANDHELD" should be the title.

@Joseph Waters The originating comment is from 4 years ago!
With the mouse game, even though the cloud is glitched, since the next cloud is in sync and they both change direction when reaching the edge of the screen, it is possible to get into the above cloud by jumping shortly before they hit the edge of the screen and turn back, it is conceivable possible to continue, it just seems he didn't think to do that.
Yep, I thought the exact same thing. Probably not worth the effort though. :P
He did have 200 games to go through
@@the_last_ballad What does that have to do with it? There's no extra effort or time involved. In fact, he would've saved time! He said he played it for a long time and I realized in 5 seconds of footage that he could've just jumped as the platform bounced off the side.
2:52 is nobody going to mention that that’s not a F-22. That’s like a F-15 or something. Couldn’t even get the jet right.
The worst part for me is the fact that I OWNED one of these and enjoyed it. Nowadays, I'm glad to look back on this 4-ish years after mine broke because I'm not the only one who found one of these.
Oh and for those who want to know, I found them at a Walgreens. They usually have LARGE amounts of bootleg handheld/plug and play games on the toy shelf.
You would think in 2017 that awful shit like Action 52 wouldn't exist anymore. And yet here we are.
Long as big brands exist rip offs will always exist to siphon off profit without the big companies knowing
At least Action 52 was original
