i haven't played this game in 18yrs, yet i have now consumed about 100hrs of this content. why? oh, thank you so much for the honestly great vids, but--why? i'm baffled.
This game is alot like football its pretty fun to play but its true strength is in its entertainment for viewers. Still through you should give it a shot you might even end up backstabbing someone in a commie game in a few years, its been alive for decades pretty sure it won't stop now just keeps on giving.

Well, T90 hits many marks with his content. His commentating is chill but professional, he seems to enjoy what he's doing and he is able to laugh at his own blunders. In that sense it reminds me of Top Gear hosted by Clarkson, Hammond and May.
Cool series. Watching these two adapt and strategize in this format is so cool.
Every time I think there's not enough wood on these maps, I remind myself that the game will not go long enough for it to matter.
Fast Castle into GG is the greatest T90 line ever
DauT got boned by the map gen imo. His rhino steal would have been a huge play but instead it actually just (not even) equalized their available food, and that siege workshop was somewhat his fault but still devastating
They've both played really well, but I've got to be rooting for Tatoh this run. His moves have been impressive.

I think DauT should have cleared the west to gain access to wood instead of risking his mangonel out on the east. but i guess that would have been the slower safer play that would give Tatoh time to come up with a counter or go castle age.
I agree, if he had just been a tiny bit more careful at three moments he would have won I think. Sending the Mango so far forward, and not repairing the tower a little, were both pretty bad.
I remember waking up one day as a kid to an alligator snapping turtle outside the front door. And we definitely had gators in the neighborhood, though not a lot, and they kept to themselves. This was in SE NC.
that tower fight around minutes 5-6 got me thinking: what if instead of shooting the tower, daut had shoot the palisade wall instead? it's very frail, even to arrow fire, and once it's been broken the villagers can go attack the tower from the base. and tatoh can't protect the tower with his own villagers because daut tower would shoot them. seems like in many cases, attacking the wall protecting the tower would be a good strategy
I'd like to see some of these small maps games where towers aren't allowed

i think a castle would have made a lot of sense considering he had 700 stone sitting right under his tc
and there was space for a market and sw so i think he could have placed the castle there
Why didn't Daut fill his south tower with villagers at 9:30 when Tatoh starts building? He just puts in one, eventually --- he could have denied that tower and/or killed a villager or two... Like wait until the tower is 60% built, then target-fire the builders --- even if the villagers escape, it's stone wasted.
dauts moment of death was the mangonel spawning on the wrong side and getting stuck so daut had to delete the siege workshop and wasnt able to create a new mangonel with the wood he collected...
I love these small map, but every game being a tower rush is so lame...

I wonder if fast castle into war galley would work. But probably would never get the wood for it. No I take it back, I think FC was simply a mistake on this mapgen, he should have adapted his strat

Daut with an immediate display of dominance after the grindfest of the last game. Daut is usually not lamer, but he earned it, Tatoh was a bit much last game. These guys are great.
Edit: and of course it was bait by Tatoh to give Daut a big head, and there were plenty of GrassDaut moments.

Worst map for fast castle. There's no good place to put a castle without clearing a good amount of resources + towers are even stronger when it's not only easy to wall them in but there's no resources in the middle to contest for. Two towers sealed up Daut's entire wood supply.
