As someone who played the demo with all 11 characters, I can 100% agree with your comments. Every character has a unique flow/playstyle to them and based the mechanics, this game is far from a button-masher. My mouth is watering at the idea of playing with a lot more in the full game! I play this on PS4, and it still looks great! Not PS5-great but still great. Been following coverage for this game for a month now, and it seems like the devs poured a lot of passion into this game. I really hope it pays off.

The game was announced in 2016 and I've been following it since 2018 ~ early 2019 Actually so surreal to think that the wait is almost over, the light at the end of the tunnel is finally here. I'm just PRAYING that Granblue Fantasy Relink and Persona 3 Reload can somehow co-exist and not cannibalize each other's sales since Persona releases the very next day. Gonna be pretty heartbroken if the game I was waiting 6 years for underperforms just because a bigger name JRPG is releasing 24 hours later 😔
I think it will be close kept persona fans who like turn based will flock to that but grandeur and the demo already have garnered new fans because it’s so fun and action based so it’s not slow for most of us.

Lots of jrpgs coming out but im glad the only other two i care about coming out are just remakes. As excited as i am for P3R and FF7Re, i dont need to blast them on day one since i know both of their stories even if they add some extra surprises in them. Granblue is brand new so it makes the most sense to tackle it first. The benefits of being an older gamer lol Made my choice super easy.
My ONLY problem so far with the demo/game was that stupid running animation for the character in the overworld. I don't like how hunched over the upper body is while the legs are just upright. It just looks really weird to me. lol Otherwise, I love the art style, the monster hunter esque quests, and the lore so far.
Lancelot's biggest issue is his atrocious damage. It is far below everyone else in the demo. He seems best built for support in terms of freezing and breaking.
To me, the mechanics of the character's seem to boil down to a few different mechanics that are just rehashed with different aesthetics and combined in slightly different ways. The complexity of each character is very overstated IMO, and I'd much rather see a smaller quantity of character that have more depth than what I'm seeing in the demo. I hate how most of the character's don't have any way to string together different types of attacks and special abilities, and there isn't much flow to the combat. The game feels like it's all flash, and no matter what character you pick, you're going to be using the same few combso over and over again, and I see the combat getting dull quickly unless this demo is just doing a bad job of demonstrating what the full game will entail. I've been very excited for this game for years and this demo has really put a damper on it for me personally.
Demo is heavily restricted compared to the full game the customization is missing like characters have massive skill trees that supposedly totally change how they play
I really really hope you can actually go into the buildings when you explore the world in the full game, I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t go into any of them since that’s one of my favorite things to do in RPGs. But I will enjoy this amazing game regardless 😅

No, but it's not really a normal JRPG either, at least based on the demo. It seems entirely mission based, with no interconnectivity between areas, and "quests" seem to just be either repetitive waves of enemies or boring, overlong boss fights. As a JRPG fan, I was not at all impressed by the demo, and fail to see the hype for the game.
@@DippoMagoo There are 5 different quest mode types: - Horde (Which are the Goblins in the demo) - Survival - Boss (Which I presume are both the Rock Golem and the Quakadile in the demo) - Explore - and Defend So there's more to the co-op quests than just partying up with others and beating a single boss for sure lol. I don't think this game will be boring at all, and there'll be a lot of unique quests to keep you engaged.
Played it and it's way over hyped. I think this youtuber and others are paid shills. This game has mobile gacha game mechanics. Levels that might seem open, but linear. Only saving grace are the boss fights and it seems they took cues from FF16 boss cinematic.

Yeah it’s disappointing if you ignore all the online quest the game will have that will easily make it way longer considering ppl are putting 50 hours into the demo because it’s so fun safe to say those who are grinding out the online quest will easily hit 100 hours and more which is way worth the $60 asking price
You have players put in over 50 hours into the demo with a story mode that lasts for about an hour dude. It's the gameplay that is long lasting with replay value.
Dude monster hunter world and rise is like 10 or 15 hours. If you ACTUALLY play them and stop bitching about how long a story is, you can play monster hunter for thousands of hours.

This is my first time watching anything related Granblue Fantasy, and I kid you not, I'm now looking forward to play this game on day one.

You have players put in over 50 hours into the demo with a story mode that lasts for about an hour dude. It's the gameplay that is long lasting with replay value.
Dude monster hunter world and rise is like 10 or 15 hours. If you ACTUALLY play them and stop bitching about how long a story is, you can play monster hunter for thousands of hours.
yall want a game with a long story to just either complain that its too long or boring or the story falls off and when we get a “short” story that will most likely get straight to the point yall call it too short i feel bad for you that you can’t appreciate just the game itself
20 without side quests, and they confirmed there is an extra post game story that takes another 10 hours to do. All that without counting multiplayer quests.
