- After over a year of putting the 65 Dodge Dart on the back burner after we had got it running and cleaning it up I finally decided that I should sell it because I was never going to get to it. So who better to sell it to than the Mopar man himself @DylanMcCoolVideo . I'm sure he will take good care of her and do something cool with it. Go check out his channel. The car has a 225 slant 6 and a 3 speed manual transmission shifted on the column. "three on the tree".

I saw what you did there and nabbed the ignition switch to help the other dart you had.. then you upped the carb and the Mopar growl came back. Josh loosened the jelly jar lid for you by getting that monster moving. Hopefully one will be the main beast or both will get some love before too long. ❤️🔥

1988 - Tulsa OK - I was attending Oral Roberts University and my grandmother lent me her '66 pristine powder blue Dart coupe with a slant 6/3-on-the-tree for the semester. No power brakes, no power steering, no A/C, heck even a radio delete. I dreaded driving that car in Tulsa traffic back then. Now, I'd give anything to have it back, and most importantly, have her back! Thanks for sharing your journey with the Dart!!

I have a 65 Dart GT that was restored 10-15 years ago. No rust, original body, chrome and dash. Engine replaced with a Dodge 360 crate engine, 4-barrel carb, headers and dual exhaust. Seats and carpet replaced. 13” wheels replaced with 14”. Transmission swapped with racing transmission that is manually shifted using the console mounted automatic shifter. Very nice looking vehicle inside and out, including paint. I plan to sell it soon.

Those slant 6's are tanks with a capitol TANK! Totally understood the reason for selling her, those parts are stupid hard to come by if they are available at all. More time for the ones that you love ❤

I helped my best friend build a 70' Dodge Dart II and we sunk a 440 in it from an old Imperial and took the manifold off his 69 1/2 Road Runner set up with the factory six pack. And when we took this jasper to the track it ran outta fuel about half down the strip, so we installed a 24V electric pump from a school bus and that thing came to life! I miss my Mopar buddy, God rest his soul..❤🙏
Hate to see that Dart go but you have to keep things moving along, so many projects so little time, I’m really looking forward to seeing the big block project completed as well as the motor home and a well deserved vacation for the family.

My buddy had a bright yellow Dart of the same vintage back in high school (late 80’s). The glass packs made the stock 318 sound wicked and the girls loved it!

I live in Argentina and this Dodge in my country is called Valiant. This model is Valiant 3. It has the same engine but does not have an automatic gearbox. It is a 3-speed manual gearbox. I hope one day I can travel and meet them.

I miss my 66 Dart GT. It had thr 273 V8 with the auto transmission. Nice console and bucket seats. We used to sit in the trunk. 😆

I didn't know that either about the left hand threads. It reminds me of a fan. The cap turns in a counter-clockwise direction to tighten it because the fan spins clockwise. Keeps it from coming unscrewed. Awesome to see Dylan bought it! I really enjoyed the old Diplomat police car he fixed up. 😎

Welding braces in the hood is a bad idea because in an accident it will can through the windshield and take your head off, they are meant to bend in half and cover the windshield in a front end collision
