    Some of the 1st Bird I heard as a kid on 78 late 60's,wonderful memories then and Now!

    Apparently there was a Jazz at the philharmonic concert where he was asked to leave for bad behaviour. Might've been this one

      Place: C.P. MacGregor Studios, Hollywood, California
      Group: Charlie Parker Quintet with Howard McGhee (tpt), Jimmy Bunn (p), Bob Kesterson (b),
      Roy Porter (d)
      McGhee went on to finish the session as a quartet, continuing with the
      exceptional passion he demonstrates on "Bebop." Parker went back to his
      hotel, wound up in jail, and then off to the Camarillo State Mental
      Hospital for rehabilitation until the end of January 1947

      he was only in LA to relax camarillo and try to quit heroin i believe? might have something to do with it…
