Wow! My eyes would hurt, just trying to take it all in. I wouldn't get too far, stopping to look constantly at the countryside and mountains. Thank you for bringing us along with you ❤️ 😊
Very interesting comment! What I've been trying to mull over, after the fact, is the overload of beauty. I found it hard to take it all in, hour after hour, day after day. It wasn't that it got boring or that I became inured to it all. Quite the contrary! But it was overwhelming nonetheless. In a way I felt "my brain is full." I felt the same way both times in Kings Canyon, the north Yosemite backcountry, & the North Cascades. I can't explain it well. The closest I can come is the feeling I sometimes get as an introvert at a party. After a while, I just need to withdraw with no sensory input in order to later re-engage.
You have to love the train network of Europe. How much for a motel in a tourist town of Switzerland vs a hostel? That valley you dropped into near the end of your day was gorgeous! I almost commented in your last video that ended with the voice but no face shot; only a shot of the inside of the tent, that you were beginning to remind me of GearSkeptic of YT fame 😂. I thought you might be adopting a new ending style! I bet the train ride was far less expensive than a shuttle ride on the PCT or AT.
I think the train was about $16 each way. The hostel was cheap, especially with the excellent breakfast. The hotels can be $200-600 t night, even more. It depends if it's an upscale tourist town like Gstaad or something more modest.

Cool transition at the end Feral! You really teleported onto that train or bus!
