Thanks Chelsea. Interesting video. One very easy way to compare proportions on a painting with the reference image is to do this directly on a live image using a camera software on your phone that suppports overlaying a ghost image. One such free software is open camera. I hope that's useful.

First of all I want to say thank you for this video. I did sit all the way through it, not because of the video but for the way I use my time. I paint watercolor instead of oil, so as you know the mediums are different. But just listening to you talk as you paint was very useful. I do have a thing for voices; your is very good whille others are very bad. So thank you, I will be back to see more of your processess.

I’ve been watching your videos for a really long time, and they’re incredibly amazing. You’re extremely talented! I love to paint using oil, but when I don’t have time to paint, I simply come to this channel for some visual learning. It feels quite satisfying to watch you confidently glide those brushes over the paints. Another thing is that your videos are uploaded in relatively high quality, which enhances the overall experience. However, the painting surface shines a lot, which is a be distracting. Suggestion: I think using a polarizing filter over your lens could significantly reduce the glares.

Thank you for the suggestion! I'll see what I can do! I've actually used a polarizing filter before, but it is hard to take the glare all the way out. Based on the angle, either I have to paint with the glare and thus can't see what I'm doing, or the camera gets the glare. :( I wish I had a better solution, and I'm definitely open to more ideas!

❤❤ you are the FIXER artist. FINALLY I FOUND SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS MY HEART AND MIND. ❤❤ I never draft, go straight to the drawing board. Keep adjustable. You can call me Lazy. I strongly believe, intuition, when the moment my stylus or pen or fine marker touched the paper or tablet, it automatically build itself. Every drawing is like me solving the puzzle, I will go with the flow or counter .. surely the complete picture will " form itself" .
