Really good video, loving the series as I'm doing my mini's repairs at the moment. Much less cutting away for me though - rust already did that for me 🤣 loved the music too
Brilliant as always Keith! Really enjoyable to watch with great camera work and detail. Appreciate the effort that goes into doing the project right, let alone documenting to help others. Top man👍Keep 'em coming. P.s. I like the background music you use😄Seems chilled to me. Have a good Christmas and New Year and thanks again for all you do⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Good work pal. Thank for the videos this yeah. Hope you and the family have a great Christmas and new year. I’m glad I’m not the only idiot using the holidays to fettle a rusty old thing I love . Cheers bud.
Excellent work Keith, great to see the attention to detail removing the old flanges and cleaning back to bare metal. I’ve worked on a few with multiple layers just stacked on top of each other and it never lasts.
Super Keith! I've finally started on my old girl. Rear panel, boot floor repair section, subframe reinforcement panels with valance closing panels, rear valance, floor to inner arch support brackets! All cut out, marked up, prepped and ready to be welded over Xmas hopefully. Your vids have been priceless so far. Thanks for all the effort you put in
Thanks for this video, very helpful. I am about to put in my jacking points as mine were completely rotten out. I put in repair sections for the inner sill around the seat tunnel area too. Locating the jacking point is what I came to your videos to see how to do that. Unlike you however, my step is still in place, so that is a battle I am working around, how to put in the jacking point with the step still there., as its harder to locate as you cant see in from the step side with the step there obviously. I am going to trip the top tab of the jacking point bracket too as I found its too long and actually hits the step and makes the bottom of the jacking point sit too low, which impacts the outer sill. I also have to replace the front and rear brackets that the outer sill goes on, so if you have videos showing that, please do direct me there. If you have a video showing installing the jacking point with the step still in place, I would love to see that too. Thanks again for your videos and expertise. Hi from NZ.
Hi, thanks for watching. I have a few other videos on Sills, but I'm not sure they show exactly what you need? th-cam.com/video/9VvPFofivpg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MlUx4AGsMnMPHT2T th-cam.com/video/6L_Lyvunpus/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AYvTgSNAnny50lBW
Hi Keith, I was reading the comments below and was very disappointed to read the negative comments that some no-minds left. Constructive comments are good but stuff like that is enough to put anyone off making you-tube videos. Hopefully you have thick skin and ignore these crap comments. Cheers, M
Thanks mate, luckily I've got used to it over the years. Thankfully it's generally pretty rare that people moan but when they do it can be for some very silly reasons,.
Awesome content! I had to skip through the very long intro, and the music is four times louder than the audio. Great to see this high quality work, but it could be easier for more people to watch. Keep it up mate!
Happy Holidays Keith! As always, you've produced another very informative (and instructive) video - thank you so much for taking the time to do these. May I ask another favor? Could you post the manufacturer and model number of your spot weld drill bit? Or just a link to where you purchase yours? I've been trying to figure out what kind to buy before I start my front end replacement and the opinions in product reviews are all over the place, but I can see in the video that yours really works and so I'd like to get the same one. Thanks so much (and God bless you and yours - here's wishing you a peaceful holiday season)
My estimation of you Keith for the attention to detail has just dropped like a stone, i mean, green paint on a blue car?? What ever will the little creatures of the future think when they move into the sill area 🤣
@@classicminiworkshop Thats Covid for you, its messed me up a little, green pain for a green car, well done Keith lol, my brain got messed up with the blue spray can 🤣 let me off please (on knee's begging)
Stumbled across your channel today. Always wanted a classic Mini. But this kind of thing has always put me off. I wouldn't have to time to do the work myself or the funds to pay someone to do it.
Thanks, welcome along. I found the problem is trying to find someone who will do it properly. You have to pay mega money nowadays unless someone bodges it up
Another good job done. Hammerite is good, as you say but, if you spray on top of cellulose paint, it blisters. Take care with overspray & use a suitable primer. Teaching you to suck eggs I bet!
Assume you mean the music, rather melodramatic comment? It’s not my favourite but I do have a volume control I can use to turn it down, and back up when you see the Timelapse has ended. To suggest you can’t watch the video because of it seems a little over the top. Of course no-one is forcing you to watch it at all …….
You can turn the volume down you know? Trying to please 2000+ people is not easy, everyone has different tastes especially when it comes to music. The timelapse sections (Music) are also time stamped in the description if you want to skip
Wow what a lot of spot welds to drill out in a small area! Thanks for another great video.
Nice to see these things done properly :)
Very good explanation of the process and definitely agree about the jacking point, I have done the same with my project. Keep the vids coming.👍
Great work Keith as usual, always look forward to your update. 👍😊
Thanks 👍
Coming along nicely Keith 👍
Great work, Keith !!

excellent video keith. i’m learning so much about Mini’s watching these - keep it up!
Thanks Dave

I didn't realise that you could get coloured hammerite? I just bought black 😢. I would have done the same as you with the green. Great video again 👏🏻.
Excellent work Keith, great to see the attention to detail removing the old flanges and cleaning back to bare metal. I’ve worked on a few with multiple layers just stacked on top of each other and it never lasts.

Great work Keith, it’s coming together nicely and totally agree what you’ve said about the jacking point.

great tuition video
Glad you liked it
Looking good 👍
Wow great video
I thought it was a crap video, i'll watch it first though 🤣
Thanks!
Good progress! Don’t know how you find the time this time of year
Brilliant, I love the detail you go to do the job right. Have a great Christmas
Thanks, you too!
All the best for Xmas and the New Year Keith, thanks for all the excellent content throughout 2022, cheers.
Thanks buddy, all the best to you too
Hiya Keith-always enjoy the videos and the progress. Bet it's cold in that garage at the moment though! Keep well.
It's a bit chilli mate!

Hiya, it's a Sealey AK4734 Cobalt spot weld drill bit www.sealey.co.uk/product/5637176991/o8mm-hss-cobalt-spot-weld-drill-bit

Im doing my drivers sid front and rear floor pan . Outer sill and doorstep . This video is great for me . What primer do you use mate ?
Nothing special really, just etch primer on bare metal and then epoxy primer if I am leaving it a few months before painting

Great Video! Louder music and less talking 😉 😂 More timelapse, less detail, less timelapse more detail, just please try to please everyone will ya! 🙄🤣
LOL
Nothing to see here......ruined by too much time lapse!
I timestamp the timelapse parts in the description if you want to skip them
On the other side, if Keith didn’t Timelapse it, the video would be 2-3 hours long?
OK I've stopped the video can't handle the freaking noise.
Turn it down or off.
Sorry it totally spoiles the video.
