I genuinely don't understand how atomsk does this. This is arguably one of the 10 worst matchups in the game, yet he just decides to win

Fucking crazy set. I was so happy when I saw the vod for the last atomsk set and was like "Hell yea, this guy is making me and other DDD lads proud." And then I went to vgbootcamp on twitch, and saw this set happening, and said "Well, guarenteed 5th ain't bad. Still very happy." Then he pulls through on this set masterfully. Well god damn done, man. Well god damn done.
My thoughts exactly! Everyone underestimates King Dedede, but the right players can make him absolutely schnasty.
Most of the kids always say all Kjng Dedede players every do is inhale and use Gordo. Oh kay? All Link players do is pull out bombs, throw their 🪃, and shoot their arrows and jump around. All the characters do two or three or four moves over and over again. It’s like Cloud players or Steve players.
ZSS-DDD is one of those mu's that you hear and think, "Wow. That sounds awful."
99% of the playerbase - "Dedede is a trash character" Atomsk - "Hold my beer, and this L"
Very dominant game 3 and 4 games in an awful mu, shows how good his adaptation is
AoS started the first match playing at a super fast pace. If he is able to keep that up the entire time then he probably would've win, but yeah it's difficult to stay focused and keep going at that pace. It's better to start out control and speed up as you go. Starting out fast then slowing down is mentally taxing for the player as well, since you start to feel that sluggishness creeping up.
Dedede's uptilt is such a cracked move. Love it
Up tilt is one of DDD's best moves but its really not cracked, unfortunately. its very honest. it was absolutely cracked in brawl though
@@MastaShake99 yeah it’s definitely not broken tbh but it just hits so hard for how relatively quick it is. Especially if you reverse it

Watching these games really makes me feel that characters like ZSS (and a couple other top tiers) have unearned kill power.

He just caught onto Aos’ bad habits and abused them.
It’s Aos’s fear for gordo that cost him the set , plus Atomsk’s aggressive gordo setup also plays a important part ( Different from Zaki , whose gordo is great at edgeguarding)
Atomsk must just be much better
That’s just how it is to play a low tier. You always get impossible matchups and sometimes you just have to make do.
Probably little match up knowledge, there is only so many match ups you can learn and DDD is probably not one of them
ZSS combos are tough 🔥🔥🔥🔥
ZSS: up air, up air, back air. Nair into down B + up B (full combo mode)
Big penguin: up tilt Win
ZSS: Slim as fuck hurtbox, great frame data on her moves, quick as fuck both on the ground and in the air, extremely agile with a lot of recovery mixups
3D: Literally a walking hurtbox, slow to mid speed on the ground, absolutely a joke in the air, all of his moves hit hard but not as hard as other heavies, extremely punishable, predictable recovery options, tons of landing lag.
So yeah, if an extremely mobile character gets to the point where Dedede has damaged them enough to kill them with one Up tilt, they deserve it.
@@tonyoik1012tall ASF hurtbox.frame data is decent at best, mediocre buttons, dedede doesn't care about recovery

Fighting zero suit samus is not easy. It's the character. Not the player so much. The character just has those ridiculous Ariel jumps and recoveries from doing it at the sametime.
