@2ane YEAH I saw Dredg open for Deftones somewhere in Massachusetts. Deftones came on stage after Dredg's last song, and thanked them with a round of shots. It was awesome
@Unfgirl060 Actually... go take a look at the Orph EP, and their first album. This is what their first album, Leitmotif, pretty much sounded like. This is old, original, dredg. They changed into "soft rock" when they released their second album El Cielo. No, when they released their ablum Catch Without Arms, which was their third one.
how do we know this is dredg? I've been a huge fan since Leitmotif. Saw them in a 200+ capacity venue before they even were described. Never heard this before.
Classic dredg. This may have been the first song I heard from them. Got this shit off Napster circa 2000. Ha. This was back when you'd send them $10 in the mail and they'd send you a copy of Leitmotif. Sent them $100 and a list of all my friends' addresses. 💥
@nataliee9 Ha! You're welcome! And I was wrong! As part of their "vault" releases, they're currently selling Orph EPs at $20 a pop on their merch site! First time I've ever seen it for sale.
Lol. I remember, after hearing the Orph EP and Leitmotif, telling people they sounded like SOAD and Tool. Haha. I mean, it was 2000 and I had a limited frame of reference. I eventually gave up referencing other bands (with dredg and anyone else I decided to recommend) and told folks to just clear their mind cause dredg, particularly on this, Leitmotif, and El Cielo, really stand alone.
2023 what's up! Still blasting Dredg!!

Wow, didn't knew they made this music in history.. Can anyone tell me of which record this is ?
This is from the Orph EP. Long out of print. Never really IN print. Ha. Just a three-song demo they made in 1997.
Thanks for answering my question of 15 years back 🙂
