I can finally see why he plays his flute at such a great angle. His embouchure is naturally angled to the left, and slightly down, hence he’s compensating with the flute to his natural position. Now I can finally let my childish desire of playing at the same angle as him die. He only did it because his body needed him to.
Exactly. There really is no right or wrong way. It depends on the flutist and how they can make the best of their sound and technique. The angle of the flute also makes a difference on how you hold the instrument.
Rampal is a amazing master in Bach's music. He is producing Bach's legendary music with just a flute. He had shown he does not need full orchestra to produce Bach's legendary music
No escuché a los flautistas entre Bach y Rampal. Admiro a Rampal, es el mejor en la actualidad, pero no se si es el mejor de la historia. Es fabuloso lo que extrae de la flauta, único, pero en los tiempos puede haber habido alguno que sonara igual. Dificil pero posible.

Very beautiful performance from great flute Jean P Rampal. From Bach it's mandatory says he was an missionary from Gods part.
He is an absolute legend and is my inspiration as a flutist.
Same if I can sound half as good as him I will be so happy
