  • Nice to meet you all. My name is Kiyohiko. I am a Japanese craftsman, but no one knows me yet. I will do my best to let people around the world know about me here, so please support me.
I am currently studying English, so please understand that subtitles may be difficult to read.

This is outstanding work. Congratulations. If you made this one chair a 6-hour multi-part series you'd have one of the most successful woodworking channels on youtube. Your work is excellent.

First of all, thank you for your nice comments.
Next time I would like to make it in walnut. At that time I would like to show you a video of the whole process. Your comments have encouraged me, thank you so much.

To say the piece is beautiful and elegant still does not praise it enough. Your work is wonderful and thank you for sharing it.

My goodness, this is truly a wonderful example of a copy of a Chippendale chair. They were originally made in Cuban Mahogany (Mahogany Sweetonia). At Thomas Chippendale's time, this wood was only discovered; it had come into Britain as ballast. It was under George the 1st. It looks very much like you're using lime on this one- very smooth and buttery timber that can be carved in all directions. Very nice crisp work. I was truly blown over by the antique bronze effect you obtained at the end. Truly remarkable. It gave it an almost Roman look; you could see Cesar seated on it.
Now your channel bears a French name, meaning make one's dreams come true. I wonder if you are French. Votre travail est remarquable Monsieur, vraiment.
    Greetings from France

Thank you very much. Yes, I am a custom-made furniture craftsman. I named the company after my desire to give shape to my customers' ideals, in other words, to make their dreams come true.
I wanted to make this chair once, but no customer wanted me to make this for them, so I made it for my son. It was a good learning experience.
By the way, I am Japanese. I studied furniture by myself.

Incredible craftsmanship. Is it based on a historic piece or is the design your own? Are you working from purchased plans or did you figure it all out yourself? Very impressive either way😊

То, как я думал об этом в первую очередь, отличается от вашего. Я уважаю старых мастеров, поэтому я просто хотел следовать той же процедуре.
