I was stopped once for the very first time in driving for 50 years. We just got a Tesla and I was learning how to use it. It’s just a car but is different to drive. A motorcycle cop was not too far behind me and pulled me over, hubby was with me. He said I almost killed him. My husband drives a motorcycle 🏍, I did not almost kill him. He only asked for my license, no registration, no insurance, we think he was just being a dick. I started crying and said sir I’m really sorry, there is so much to learn ( not really) a car is a car. He said I’ll just give you a verbal warning this time. Please be careful from now on. He was a good 500 feet behind me he just was looking for someone to pick on and it was me. I mean we have registration and insurance. Woops that did not come out right.
I'm sorry for the loss she has went through but no matter what a person goes through does not justify drinking and driving drunk. You can't use situations as an excuse to drink cause in my opinion there is no excuse. The best help for her is Jesus. He's my everything. God bless you.

Driving drunk ain't no mistake. I'm just thankful she didn't hit another car and kill an innocent person. It happens all the time. If someone chooses to drink thats there business but they should do it at home. When you driving drunk you make it other people's business. Any normal grandmother will help there daughter with those children. If she didn't want to help, she should have stayed in a hotel. I have been hit twice. Rebuilt each time. Then I left that state.
she didn't own the home in Texas , but that's not the point, if you actually watched the show, she was depressed losing everything in lake Charles and then having to live with her kids. then she gets another home and she loses everything all over . how would you feel having to start from scratch and losing tons of photos and family items ?

Even if they had "shunned" her, its their right to do so. They have 6 daughters, they have to do what's in their best interest. As for her moving back to Lake Charles, she said countless times on the show that Houston wasn't her home and she missed Louisiana. Have someone to come pick you up etc, etc. Recently a 19 year old young lady in our community lost her life due to a person drinking and driving. She was a great basket ball player was a sophomore in College and played for their basket ball team. This young lady had her whole life ahead of her she was very loved and a great human being and didn't deserve to die at the hands of a drunk driver. Not only did she die but two of her younger Sisters were in the car and are still in the hospital with serious injuries. Think before you do something you will later on regret.
