I am an alumnus from '65. I started out in the Cheverton dorms (long gone I believe). It was great to see your room set up. We had a rooms for two connected to a bathroom that also connected to the next room, so four shared the bathroom. The school provided housekeeping to clean the bathrooms however. In the room, there was a central storage area that consisted of drawers and closet. The two beds fit along the wall space opposite the storage unit. The wall were brick which made it pretty much impossible to attach any kind of posters. Of course we didn't have 3M hanging devices such as are available today. You didn't mention phone service - do the room have phones? we did not have phones but we could make our own arrangements with the phone company to have them installed. Even I have a smartphone and we hardly use our residence phone which is an VOIP phone at that and if we don't answer at home it rings on my cell. What is this world coming to? She came here in 1972 for a vacation and we met and I proposed and she didn't go back. We celebrate 44 years of marriage this year. Do you know when Chapman announces if/when/what the majors of dorms will be changed to?? I am going to be in the BFA Screen Acting program so I thought I would be in Glass hall, but I've heard the dorm assignments for majors may change, but I was wondering when is it certain it will change? Sooo excited to be a baby panther 🐾💕 Thank youuuu!

In terms of knowing when the dorms change you will likely not be able to find that out until you get your actual housing assignment. The learning communities tend to change halls frequently but all of the freshman housing is great here!! Congratulations on getting in and see you this fall!!
Hey! I just got accepted into chapman's Kinesiology program so I'll be starting this fall :) I was wondering how you would rate your first year at chapman and if you have any tips on how to be successful during the first year? Thanks! :D
I was actually a transfer! I transferred in my second semester of freshman year so I did not get that full experience of orientation week. By the time I got in most people were already acclimated to the school, but I had no trouble finding my group of friends and really enjoying myself! Chapman is an awesome University and I am sure you will find your place here!
