    I love it. Poor man's Earth Roamer. Love that it has NO SLIDE OUT, 4WD, and lifted suspension. However, I wish it had an island queen bed and a small 2 person face-to-face dinette for eating and working. Also, the single AC may not be able to keep up in HOT weather. Dual ACs would be awesome.

      I only have one AC unit in my 30' TT and it works just fine - even in brutal Houston summers.

    Very nice rig, seems to cover all the bases. This floorplan really wouldn't benefit from a slide out, other than give a tremendously large floor area between bath / kitchen areas. For weight savings, mechanical issues, probably much better to not have a slide.
    Nice looking rig, and the Ford chassis / running gear should make it a winner.
    Thanks for showing this unit, very good job.

    Finally ! Someone is listening. A Class C with a very large storage behind the rear wheels. Yay ! Hoping there will be a slightly ! larger version with a slide and under bed/rear area storage for bedding etc...Could benefit from a larger kitchen counter area for food prep. Very nice rig !

    Also, I hope they keep it on the 600 chassis so you can tow things like side-by-side‘s quad runners or even a jeep or a bronco also would be nice to have a full slide out tray in the storage room in back so you can put attachments on it for like a bike racks, or other things

    Really nice but that tv sucks. It only swivels a little and only one side can see it. Would have been better to have it drop down from the ceiling. Where does the third passenger sit during traveling. Does the back have seat belts?

  • @JOHNNYGIX
    @JOHNNYGIX 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

    The models we are seeing out there have smaller side windows around the dinette (not as high). These windows go down below the top of the cushions.
    This thing also has a nice rear cap. All I’m seeing are the flat ones online
    Is this a show unit only?

    Beautiful rig! Is that 4 wheel drive? Can it be optioned with lithium? I saw it can be optioned with 12 volt fridge, what about a 12 volt a/c? What is msrp? Sorry for all the questions, one of the nicer new rugs I’ve seen

    • @guentherwilke2055

      I think all those things will be coming to this segment- LiFePO batteries are now cheaper than AGM for usable capacity (~$330/kWh) and DC air conditioners are getting cheap, too. Combine with induction cook-tops and diesel heat, you can ditch the entire propane and generator systems.

  • @CrustyAbsconder

    The F-600 has a stronger drive-shaft than the F-550, and bigger brakes, and bigger front-end suspension components,
    but the ride is rougher. The rear-end axle is likely bigger than the F-550. The F-550 might have more modern feel
    in the cab, and be easier for a less experienced person to drive than the F-600. Finding a mechanic to work on the F-600
    might be harder than on the F-550 eventhough the parts are likely very similar. However, there might be an issue with
    lifting the cab off the frame to work on the F-550 and that probably won't be an issue for the F-600. Way to many
    considerations to ponder, but you really should if you are going to spend $ 100,000. The F-550 might get slightly better
    fuel-economy, and may even have more torque and horspower, for those times when you need to pass a slow moving
    car.

  • @ronrossi7784
    @ronrossi7784 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It’s about time US builders put in storage in the back for bicycles? I agree with someone else’s comment as it is a poor man’s earth Romer, which is great. I do worry about that. Front window over the bunk getting broken if you do go off road with it. It would be nice if they split the power bed in too two sections so you can leave the bed down if you want most the time and just have one little seating section across from each other. I’d like to know how efficient the AC ii is and if it could run off of lithium batteries

  • @HighCountryRambler
    @HighCountryRambler ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks like the designers are starting to listen to the users. Although with that layout can see it might be possible to shave off another 2 feet in length. I'm hoping the extreme roof height is because you have the jacks extended expanding the suspension? I built a Itasca Cambreia and had it lifted 6" with 4X4 added on a E450, it's probably over a foot lower roof line.
    I doubt this would fit in my steel building with a couple 12' doors? Didn't see it listed in your inventory page on website?
    Professional tour, thanks.

    Nice a 12v refrigerator, those old crappy propane fridges melted ice cream faster than the sun. Still Jayco quality is not the best, I assume this one will be no different. Going with the Renegade Veracruz. But still very nice layout.

    • @jinnij.caiman
      @jinnij.caiman ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s not meant to be for everybody. You put a topper on it that you keep on the bunk during the day, and your in business. There are plenty of people who don’t want their bed out during the day. Some people just use the bunk. It’s pretty spacious. This unit is for them, it’s a poor design for you and that’s ok. It’s ok that it doesn’t work for everyone that’s why there are different floor plans. This is perfect for someone like me. I’m single, no children and want a small class c, I don’t mind not having a slide in fact I prefer one without and I don’t mind having to convert my bed. If you want a bed to stay put you’ll more than likely need a bigger unit a unit with a slide or even a Custom schoolie which would be fun.
