Wow... what a great video. Would love to meet Brittany- she could've been so helpful during the beginning of my cancer journey. As I had such a struggle in this area. Thank you for this coverage ♡.

Hi Dr Jennifer. Can you provide some insight into if one (vegetarian) should take Omega-3 supplements during the hormonal therapy (which lasts 5 years)? Thanks

There is no reason not to take omega-3-fatty acids. There is also little evidence that omega-3-fatty acids are helpful. Omega-3 fatty acids are readily available in a wide variety of plant foods, including walnuts, flaxseeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds, edamame, seaweed, and algae. Other green leafy vegetables and beans also contain small amounts.

What are the risks if chemotherapy is started after 2 months of mastectomy because the wound is not completely recovered

Even with a delay required for wound healing, chemotherapy is still effective. We'll start chemotherapy in someone having wound healing problems up to 6 months after surgery.

Is Triple positive breast cancer and her2 negative are same ?

    • @yerbba

We don't generally use the term "triple positive," but what that refers to is a tumor that is positive for all of the following--ER, PR, and HER2. So a HER2-negative tumor is not "triple positive."
