I literally bought this set Monday for 35$ I got both sets tbh for the main purpose of drilling to bricks so thank you for the video it couldn’t come at a better time since I’m going to be using my new drill bits this weekend.
Bought the bits, and the drill, but didn’t like the Registration site. Called the help number, and he did a fine job, registering my drill, in Real English! Quite an impressive charger, two batteries, and a very strong case. All for $200.00. Thanks for introducing me to another tool, that I didn’t need, but wanted after seeing your video!
Ya know, this really makes me wonder. Milwaukee offers essentially the same carbide bits for multi material. They claim all of the same materials these do. The milwaukee bits have white painted flutes vs the black flutes on the flex. Milwaukee ALSO offers the same 4 pack of carbide bits with red painted flutes that are advertised for masonry and concrete only, even though they look the exact same as their white multi material bits. I would love to see if there’s any actual difference between those two types of Milwaukee carbide bits, and if there’s any difference between milwaukees bits and flex’s bits. They all look the exact same.

That's pretty incredible. I still use my Bosch Daredevil multi purpose sets as they were the only ones still standing after drilling tile, but Id like to get my hands on a Flex set.
I thought the tile would kill it for sure. Can't really lie. They did the job and did it well. And the stackable boxes are kinda sweet if I do say so myself.
Managed to get that Lowe's deal 3 pack flex bit and blades 91 bits 12 blades and 4 tool starter kit for $94. Even just the bits very happy with the quality so far
This could be a time saver when securing studs to concrete or brick walls/floors. You can drill through the metal or wood studs and directly into the surface behind them in one movement, then set the anchor and don't have to remove/replace the drill bit or have multiple drills set up.
Vince, On one of your videos, saw you put a plastic pencil sharpener in a drill and sharpen a pencil. I flipped out, I have never seen one of those. Where can I get 37 of these? Thanks
For nut setters the MALCO C-RHX is simply the very best available! Not only are they durable they are reversible with 2 different sizes in the same tool and the magnet is by far the easiest to clean debris from.
Longevity I have to agree with u on malco but it ain't perfect I use them installing hvac but if u get a taller head on a screw they start to wobble I keep going back to my flex 1/4 bit for those zip screws but I've used it so much its starting to round itself wear the malco never seems to if the malco was a tad bit deeper it would be perfect
I'd like to see the bit go up against drill bits designed for metal, tile, and concrete to see how it stacks for speed and longevity. I don't expect it to win in any field but it would answer the question, is it a jack of all materials. If so, it's worth my money Thanks to you and your team Vince for all the great content you guys put out.
It would be great to see these same bits being used in different brand impact tools (Dewalt, Milwaukee, Bosch, & Makita). These are likely the tools your audience uses. I'd be willing to bet if we pick up these Flex brand bits, they're not being used in a 24v Flex impact driver. Consider the real-world application. Just a thought. Love the videos!
I have the FLEX impact driver and hammer drill and I also bought the FLEX impact accessories kit...and use them..they're good...I mostly prefer DeWalt and Wiha bits though... but they work fine...
I've been running Flex power tools and accessories on the job full time for over a year now. The battery power and life is outstanding and I've had no complaints, even the pricing is great. Every tool I buy comes with a battery too.
I'm glad u did this .wasn't sure if they were worth it.But now I know they r Thanks.I invested in Flex tools and I like every tool so far,so today i get a couple of bit sets.
Guess gonna have to check ‘em out to see for myself, not that your tests weren’t awesome. Just gotta be the feel ya know. Also, that laugh at the end, WHOA NOW, SLOW DOWN🤣🤣🤣 Cheers✌🏻
C'mon Vince, you should have used Makita or Milwaukee impact driver for this. Now poor Todd at TRZ will think Flex bits only work with Flex tools... 😭😭😭
Awesome videos man. You seem to know a fair amount about the Flex platform. I am looking to switch platforms is there any chance the platform will be sold in Australia any time soon?
I use these set of multi drill bits and I recommend to use and outside of house for putting up shutters because I use these for drilling in anchors for a pagola to anchor it to the ground it did not made it the second leg of the pagola the tip was gone when I was almost done with the second leg when I was drilling I use the ryobi brush drill the one that had the plastic handle through the drill that you see at Home Depot for 50 bucks it did a good job at doing it I was impressed that it did it. The hammer drill did get hot and had to give it a break after each leg was done and use the ryobi hp four mode impact driver to put on the anchors on the 2 setting on the impact it works wonderful and the brush hammer drill the hammer drill that was brush has 600 torque to drill into hard floor concrete that was outside and has tile on the floor tool since the drill bit broke I had Milwaukee and Bosch concrete bits which were incredible and lasted longer than flex bits did and the hex bit driver almost broke when I use it haveing trouble putting in anchors and the hex drive got rounded and had to use a makita hex drive that worked better to be I don’t recommend these bits sadly spend to much money on it like thirty dollars on it and it may not be worth it just get makita or Milwaukee or even dewalt bits and get Milwaukee concrete bits they work better and will last longer than these flex bits there tools may work great but some of there bits need work.
Been looking for a new bit set to test Dewalt is still the best I've used Milwaukee's impact driver bits are garbage in durability since I do windows and sill openings
ill never understand why companies insist on making the most bulky boxes imaginable for bits when the whole set could fit in your fist lol. theres gotta be a better way to make it compact while still being easy to get to all the bits
Bosch has a nice compact container for their multi material bits. It’s, like, a two inch wide piece of plastic with a long piece of clear plastic you can remove and then take out one of the bits. Nice and small but fits all five drill bits just fine.
Hey man just buy Milwaukee tools! You will never waste money 🤗…but but but…Flex is coming out strong! I see their impact driver is pretty solid! So I might to try them soon. Thanks Vince!
@Mike Byrne i do agree but if you know how to sharpen them you'll be able to get a little more life out of them. If they have a super narrow fluke or a starter center drill, its very difficult and hardly worth sharpening
Man I can remember when all the TH-cam content creator/tool review channels hated on flex..... What happened? Yo talk to me Vince everything okay? haha jk brotha love the content keep at er!!! P.s flex is on the low tough as h***
For my money FLEX is lacking in the ergonomics department, it’s too soon to see how they are going to hold up under heavy use so I’m staying with Makita.
I would love to see these compare to other brands in that price range. Demoing a product without a comparison is useless. Seemed like it hard a hard time after the porcelain. I am guessing these were not as sharp after the demo.
Well of course they weren’t as sharp as before the demo, what do you expect after porcelain. But it still went through the steel. What is there to compare. If you bought these you would know if you had to it could drill through anything. That’s is your comparison.
These videos would be better without all the shouting and random drilling tests. What exactly does two guys race drilling prove, and why do you think it requires so much shouting?
