10 years ago more or less i realised releasing incomplete games that would be "complete" over time instead of releasing it complete and without bugs would become the standard if people didnt complained enough. And seems that i wasnt wrong. Although TFB promises something to preserve this game in the future that of course would depend on the game success. Because if it isnt a success they wouldnt probably do it. Is what happens with live service games as a whole. You would never really know if they would update the game enougj to make it the definitive experience we need to had since day one (plus i paid the game on release, first day, i wouldnt gonna pay it in one year, so i want the complete game NOW.
I mean, yeah, I've been having fun with this game myself and it's nice to see TFB do something different with Crash, but I can understand your complaints on this and how Activision could potentially plan to nickle-and-dime players sometime in the future. But, hey, that's how triple AAA game companies do things now (not that I'd approve) and I prefer to just level up and earn these skins, hats, items n' stuff. Still, at least we're getting Ripto from Spyro 2 AND a new Party mode in Season 2 coming next week. Important to keep a balance of the positive and the negative, after all.
Played 10 games of the free trial, repetative, controls felt off, combat was mostly button mashing, and it all felt like no matter i did it didn't make much difference as to which team would win, out of my control Would never pay a dime for this
Great video. Honestly paid games should not have live service features imo. Crash Team Rumble would probably get a bigger player base if it was free. The trial is a great start though.
I feel like Rumble has the potential to be worth the money, but that's the issue. It feels like they had to release the game practically in beta form just to get Activision to green light it, and the online seasons are more or less just getting it up the standards of a full game. Especially so looking at the development roadmap which stated the launch plans were basically what the game will likely be up to by the time a Winter release could have been booked.
Some people act like "Team Rumble is going to kill the franchise!" ... just chill out, it's just another mediocre spin off Witch franchise doesn't have those? I think this game was just created to calm the waiting for Crash 5...

Yeah, I think I'm gonna pass on this if ever comes on switch.
One consolation is if it does come out on Switch the delayed release will mean it might almost feel like a complete game by then.
