Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
I hope you enjoy my content and ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate you subscribing to my channel and liking my videos. You can also find me on Facebook borderviewfarms and on Instagram @borderviewfarms

Your dad can make almost anything out of wood! And make it look good!
A little late!!! Almost missed my breakfast video!!!
Sorry!
Great job! Seed business videos aren't bad. It's what you do. That's what we're here for.
Morning, bring on the 360° Rain!!!😊
Good morning
Nathan, I got the monitor and globe! Ready to go to work as soon as we get warmed up!
Had never seen a screed like they used. Your Dad’s creativity in making the seed cleaner is very im😮!!
30 degress and 40 mph winds here in ND. Ground is froze this morning. No field work here. Like the corn cleaner. Been there. Done that. Great video.
Those dudes were "mucking" , I did concrete flat work between seasonal jobs in a ski town in CO. I will never do it again... Hats off to the muckers!
Good Morning.
Good looking concrete work. 😎🇺🇸
the guy running the power screed needs bigger boots 😂😂😂 holy moly 😂😂😂
Waiting for the video on the day you plant that corn seed. Tip, don’t plant it on the first day or a day when you’re in a hurry 12:44
Thanks for the video
The $15,000 spent on the concrete is worth the money.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Personally I prefer six ten minute videos, over one 60 minute video. Even if they are just seed cleaning, and oil changes.
why the plastic under the concrete?
Moisture moves up after its cured, and you get better control of the moisture during curing/finishing.
Why do you have clean seed that comes from the seed company
Well, when you spill the box and have to pick it up off the grass, it gets dirty
How thick and PSI?
It's 6" thick. I'm not sure on concrete specs
You need to milk cows get little dirty.
