My mom-n-law had a mint condition 6ft aluminum tree from 1961 with a vintage color wheel bought at the same time. I LOVED IT! She gifted it to me last year. She said she bought it from the original owner which bought it new in 1961 with the color wheel and used it only once and stored it in an air controlled climate all these years. My mom-n-law also only put it up once. I put it put last year and this year so it has only been used four times since 1961. Last year when it was gifted to me I cried the entire time putting it up my hubby said "Why are you so upset?" I said "I have dreamed of having this tree for so long and I'm just so happy."

Wine o’clock LOL 😂 I love how you decorate with pastels. I am too traditional and have to have a tree with colored lights and all my old favorite ornaments of my mothers, grandmothers and kids ornaments!!!
Just use my vintage German ornaments on my tree and my advent wreath and wooden pyramids. I also use candles on the tree and also electric lights. Candles are only lit for 15 minutes of caroling around the tree.

I love using feather boas to mimic snow around my holiday decor! How clever to use other fuzzy or furry items to accent decor. I will expand my search for these after seeing Selena's wrap around her foyer table.
To fix the pocket doors, you will probably have to open up the walls, which would be a total disastrous mess. I love pocket doors, but they have to be installed absolutely correctly. And they do wear out over time.

Your home and your outfits are all stunningly beautiful! Love all your jewelry too. My mother had a stretchy rhinestone bracelet like yours. Those ceramic trees were very popular in the 1970s. There used to be shops that sold the unfinished pieces and you could paint/glaze them yourself and they'd fire them up for you. They'd hold classes on how to do it. Your ceramic tree was probably one of those and someone with great taste used that pretty pearly glaze on it. I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!

I just found your videos a few weeks ago so I have been binge watching and have now watched all of them. I love your pastel Christmas tree and all your beautiful vintage dresses. I love your laugh and your way of describing everything. So eloquent with a bit of humor thrown in. You have been through a lot in the past with your health and you have a zest for life which is rare these days. Your Mom is delightful, and I think I am around your Dad's age. I loved the story about your family Bible. My great great grandparents met on the Oregon Trail in 1847 - 100 years before I was born. They were 17 and 18. They settled in Scio. I have a diary someone kept while on the trip, but it ends abruptly possibly he passed away. My great grandfather was a dentist in Albany. I believe he had his office out of the Albany Hotel and his wife played the piano there while he pulled teeth. True story. Looking forward to more videos of your Christmas decorating for 2024.

Those ceramic trees were very popular in the 1970s. There used to be shops that sold the unfinished pieces and you could paint/glaze them yourself and they'd fire them up for you. They'd hold classes on how to do it. Your ceramic tree was probably one of those and someone with great taste used that pretty pearly glaze on it. I just found your videos a few weeks ago so I have been binge watching and have now watched all of them. I love your pastel Christmas tree and all your beautiful vintage dresses. I love your laugh and your way of describing everything. So eloquent with a bit of humor thrown in. You have been through a lot in the past with your health and you have a zest for life which is rare these days. Your Mom is delightful, and I think I am around your Dad's age. I loved the story about your family Bible. My great great grandparents met on the Oregon Trail in 1847 - 100 years before I was born. They were 17 and 18. They settled in Scio. I have a diary someone kept while on the trip, but it ends abruptly possibly he passed away. My great grandfather was a dentist in Albany. I believe he had his office out of the Albany Hotel and his wife played the piano there while he pulled teeth. True story. Looking forward to more videos of your Christmas decorating for 2024.

I love all of your decor but the living room really speaks to me. I think pink for the holidays is so perfect. I have a small pink tree that I decorate with pink silk roses and a pink Santa hat as a topper so everything on your table beneath the TV is screaming my name. The bubble gum pink Poinsettias are magnificent.
