Bough Armada yesterday and had my first game, it was fantastic, my new favorite board game!!!!!
This is a pretty cool build. I'll have to give it a try soon!
Crabbok I think it would be a good idea for you to include a visual representation of how you would deploy/maneuver the fleets that you design to help new players understand how your fleet is meant to work.
I built a very similar build, the difference was that I went with NK-7s on both Raiders. It played out very well with Vader rerolls and Disposable Capacitors; stripping an Admonition MC-30c of both redirects on turn 2.
Totally agree on objectives. Solar Corona and Superior Position are automatics for me for Blue. Yellow seems to be between Fleet Ambush, Fighter Ambush, or Contested Outpost. Red has more options, but I generally go Advance Gunnery, Most Wanted, or Opening Salvo.

Missing the armada when you join the Navy... such a weird sentence out of context.
Personally, I would add TIE interceptors or normal TIEs so that you have a decent activation advantage over a list with 10 squadrons (something I've gone up against in my area) bit O fan see why decimators are useful.
Operational Question: Say your opponent and you are both in a passing line formation and one of his middle ships from falls away from and out of line, with this build, would you send one of your ships through to finish it off next turn or wait a couple of turns and send your last ship in line to pursue to keep formation? do you prefer rebels or imperials in armada?
Both! I like to go back and forth, see what works on one side, compare it to another side, so I don't have a favorite, though lately I've been playing Empire a bit more.
I still think you are selling Tarkin a little short. I have had a lot of success with my Tarkin list, in fact it is currently my go to tournament list (although tournaments around here are few and far between).
How does a fleet like that do against heavy ships like 2 Stardestroyers (with Fighter support)?
It depends what the large ships are; something like a Kuat or Ordnance Cruiser you might do well against if you can keep your distance. A pair of Cymoon with Gunnery teams will cut you to ribbons though.
Oh I dunno about that. We'll start far enough away from each other that I only need to blow up one to win. When you have that many ships shooting you, and only one brace - even 11 hull won't keep you alive for long.
Crabbok Make sure you give us a battle report, I'm curious to see how such small ships do. 🙂
