I served there in 1978 and loved Fort Ritchie! The history is amazing and kept a secret for many years of what the Ritchie Boys did during WWII and the intelligence operations and training conducted there. It truly was the "Best Kept Secret" Army post in it's time!
Wow, my father and our family was stationed there from 1990-1994. I attended Cascade Elementary and Smithburg Middle. Ft Ritchie was one of the best places I spend my childhood, especially for a child coming from the Bronx. I loved it. So happy to see that it was used as a set for filming in Paramount+ The Lioness.❤❤❤
Lived there 1981 to 1983 while my dad was the Facilities Engineer. Moved to Germany when he made the LTC list. Many of the newer buildings were either built or started while he was FE.

I was also stationed there from 1981-83 as an MP
My husband (to be) and I were stationed at Fort Ritchie from 1954-56. Much more primitive but we loved it! Walked many miles around the post.
An AMAZING place where I spent many years!
Lakeside Hall was the EM Club when I was there 65-66.
Much had been added or changed since I was there in 1968-1969.
