As an adult learner getting back into maths. From not being taught it correctly in the 1970s and 1980s by teachers that just didn't care. I've found it difficult to find help in the learning of the subject in the correct sequence. There's lots of resources available to students, but they all assume that the student is a child who has access to a classroom. In my country, Australia, there's nothing really available for adults who wish to re educate themselves in maths. And the courses that are available assume that the adult has graduated high school, or is wanting to enter university and is looking to do a bridging course. There are things that have changed in the teaching of mathematics that today's students have been taught, but the students of yesterday were taught entirely different. And this becomes a source of confusion for the adult learners. A lot can be forgotten in over 40 years. And a lot can change to. Great video examples.
Hi there, I know this was 3 years ago. But is a $9.95 a month a good payment? Since Im mostly gonna use math, (I'm a child, 5th grader,) and I already have ixl for school, but I want to make another account :D So good deal?
Me totally not using this for me because my dad totally not homeschool me and only teach kindergarten math and i am totally not going to middle in a few month later and not struggling :D
Greetings! Has the adult been diagnosed with a math learning disability? If so, the best thing to do is to hire a tutor who specializes in teaching people with this learning disability. If the adult does not have a learning disability, all they need to do is work on improving their understanding of numbers and how they work together. They can start from there and build their knowledge of mathematics from there
Hi there! Please share what are some of your favorite math resources.
